I think VADA 365 is also paid by the fighters.
WBC would go bankrupt paying for all these tests.

Exactly that.. The UFC system is a joke but atleast catches more than in boxing.

Again the difficulty with testing in house is that some promoters will not be happy or up for doing this. Not saying he wouldnt but look at Dmitry Salita for instance promotes lower key fighters one of who wins the lottery in a fight against AJ and stands to earn a $6m purse. Granted he got caught but if Salita had been tested him he wouldnt of earned big purses for him or got him the AJ fight as he would have been busted years ago.

I think all promoters that promote on TV atleast should have to contribute to a pot for testing. For instance Matchrooms DAZN deal is $125m a year and Haymons are $120m combined if they put up 2% of these deals alone it would be $5m and enough surely to cover all of their cards and then some.

it depends on whether the fights had VADA testing. VADA have no power over BBBofC. So if a fighter fails a VADA test its up to the promoter whether they look to cancel the fight. So if a Home fighter like Whyte fails they probably just sweep it under the rug, if Rivas failed like Miller / Saunders did then the fight is off

It was a UKAD test failed, not VADA, and the BBBoC and matchroom knew. VADA didn't catch it.

He's above that. He's written some fantastic books. The Black Lights is probably the best boxing book I've ever read

Can’t see this even being acknowledged by Matchroom.

yes but my whole point was in reference to Promotors also being held accountable for their fighters failing tests as technically they are employed by them for that fight. By bringing in hefty fines to promoters it in turn would ensure that it would be in the promoters best interest to drug test their own fighters, the more stringent they are they more chance they will have to cover their own backs. Once these sort of things start hitting the promoters in the pocket they will soon enough be super stringent and ensure their fighters are clean. Money is the number one priority for promoter therefore this is where you hurt em if they allow one of the fighters to be taking gear.

Thats just impossible to implement from a legal standpoint. In this case i think the promoter is accountable due to the circumstances but outside of that if anybody should be in bother other than the fighter, it is the nutritionist or trainer or some of his team.

The you look to change the laws. Something has to be done, drastic measures need to be taken. Ban and sue them all, the reason that this whole situation has come about is due to the reward being greater than the risk. Fine the fighter, fine the promoter these are the two main things that have to be done, ban the fighter, put sanctions against the promoter. The promoters and fighters are the one that hold all the cards here, they need to be the ones that need to be held accountable. The fighter as they are the ones cheating and the promoters cause they represent the fighter. No different to any other walk of life. In financial services if an employee breaks the law whilst working for the company the company get hammered for it as well as the employee. Something similar has to be applied here, granted that might mean introducing new laws and changing the ones that exist but that is exactly what needs to happen. Things need to change, if they dont then how can we move on?

    This is brilliant.

Hearn will come up with some master spin on the story, he always does. But for his less intellectual lackey’s like Johnny Nelson, Bellew and co, it will be funny to see what they have to say.

Forget the standard Sky damage control, they will be too intimidated to talk harshly about Whyte so they will lose all credibility.

Hearn’s scripted interview coming up with IFL.

Even worse, it’s Andy “bumsook” McCart conducting the interview. Expect no pressing questions.
