I've been saying this for years. I just dont get the hype. Hes just flat out not that good of a fighter. I've been saying it since I saw tiny little shot Robert Guerrero giving him the pain in the later rounds. And I'm sitting there going this little guy is putting the pain on him?? He lost to Porter and that's when Porter had an off night too. And now he loses to grandpac?
He had the best 147 resume outside of Pac himself, and Porter lost that fight. If Thurman's not that good, what's that say about the rest of the division?
147 is a media fabrication. It's a weak division, but it has a bunch of Americans and an old Pac in it. So it's been pumped up. Cruiserweight was 10 times stronger than WW the oast 5 years. But nobody cares about some dude from Latvia or Cuba or Russia or wherever.
I actually picked Danny Garcia to beat him and thought Garcia won that fight. The Porter fight was razor close as well.
147 is all hype so far. I said 200 has been 10 times better than 147. Even Spence is unproven. He and Crawford are the last hope for 147.
Porter-Spence is the missing piece to the puzzle here. Not saying triangle theory but I got Porter one-sided victory over Spencer
It took you this long to come to this conclusion? It was obvious before the Pac fight he was nothing special. The only question was how faded Pac was. Less than many of imagined, it seems.
He was giving him a boxing tutorial before the damage of being crushed by a guy twice his size in GGG caught up to him.
This era of WWs is weak. I bet WW JMM would beat them all. Josesito López and Luis Collazo Nearly KO Thurman. I can't imagine those guys ever hurting WW like DLH, Tito, Mosley, Quartey, Forrest, Mayorga.
I think he is a decent fighter. But he has lost his work ethic since the summer of 2015. Plus he is loved up with his Indian wife. He is a multi-millionaire. He has been WBA and WBC champion. He will finally make $8,000,000 from the Pacman fight according to Forbes. I wouldn't blame him if he retired.
