Some good fights for him at Matchroom. Price or Chisora would be great fights for him to get British credibility and springboard him in world reckoning. People forget he's only 24

He should get some decent opponents regularly now. Christian Hammer would be a good opponent for him next.
Not even sure he bests Hammer. Hammer is pretty underrated and usually only loses to top 10 guys. Mentally very tough and a lot craftier than he's usually credited with being. I think he works Hughie over to a clear UD win.
Yeah and those ugly kind of fights usually favor Hammer, especially when the opponent isn't elite or a top contender. He'd rough Hughie up in the clinch and do a lot better than expected boxing from range.
I think he does beat Hammer but yes, Hammer is better than given credit for. I just think Hammer is too slow to land anything on Hughie. Still, a good step up fight for Hughie if it got made.
Too many times now, have I seen Hammer go into sparring partner mentality, thus I can never confidently pick him over a top guy.
