Both are on point. But I'd add that we've only just peeled back the onion on the shenanigans, it's pretty clear that UKAD/BBBoC have been doing things ass backwards for gawd knows how long?
When will you guys realize its not just a British problem Its a world wide problem. Drugs in Sports is RAMPANT & NOTHING is being done about it. Certain boxers are given carte banche to write their own rules & do as they please & others are heavily penalized for minor infractions Greed & $$$$$$$$$$$$$ make more "champions" than skill these days
Watching americans and mexicans try labeling Britain as corrupt and now a no go zone for people looking to not get screwed over, is, legitimately funny. Now... that being said, and to address the topic, this is indeed crazy, and a horrendous look for british boxing.
It is all relative. Professional boxing seems doomed to have a certain amount of corruptness going on - but the UK seems to have been taking the lead of late.
Corruption is rampant and all we need to do to see it in action is to witness a GBP event, lol. But this UKAD issue is much deeper because it's systematic. It's not a one time failure or an instance of a failure for a single event. The backwards ass nature of the way they handle things is the fundamental problem. Anyone who boxes in the UK is subject to their ridiculous protocol. Let me try to find where I posted it, but I linked the WADA Code protocol on how to handle this notification. But till then, to summarize, WADA Code dictates that the governing/sanctioning body, WADA itself, and the promoter and athletes in question are to be notified. Basically, it's everyone involved. But UKAD/BBBoC hid this adverse finding and only notified the promoter. This constitutes a huge breach of trust, and basically defeats the whole point, which is to PREVENT athletes on PEDs from competing with clean athletes. That's the whole point. What UKAD does in reality undermines their very existence.
The list is still there, but they've redacted all names of Brit fighters. And fyi, that means all cases involving the BBBoC. With he public info before redaction, you could follow the trail to see how often suspected cheaters were allowed to fight just by corroborating the detection date vs fighter, and knowing when they fought, etc. You'd be surprised, it's liek every case. It took them in the example below more than a fkn year to suspend this redacted fighter. What the hell was that fighter doing in the meantime? It's fkn insanity. For ex. Date of Violation 09/12/2017 Start date of Sanction 12/01/2018 End Date of Sanction 11/05/2018 Competitor Violator Redacted Rule Violated Presence Sanction Banned for 4 months Sport Boxing NGB BBBOC Substance 1,3-dimethylbutylamine (DMBA)
Look at the start date of sanction and end date. It's not like he's been suspended minus 26 days... Date notition is dd/mm/yyyy instead of mm/dd/yyyy here, which means he got busted december 2017, sanctioned january 2018 and it ended may 2018. Very low sanction, but still... not anyway near the Fury case who they allowed to fight for the title over half a year after he got busted.
I look forward to them going over to America to get jobbed on the cards after 12 rounds of biased officiating. Awesome stuff.
Yeah I'm butt hurt because I think it's funny to laugh at guys getting on a high horse when their countries are as bad or worse. Cool. UKAD are a complete joke but if you think everything is comparatively great stateside then you need your head examined.
you are. i likened the uk to texas, which i love, just a few posts above, and thats how you react when theres no butthurt involved. see, i can leave my personal feelings and emotions out of my analysis. cause im secure that way.
