Sources stating AJ/Ruiz II will happen in the UK in Cardiff at the Principality Stadium on December 14th rather than in MSG. Will be interesting to see how Ruiz deals with AJ's home crowd

The crowd doesn’t effect a world class fighter.

Well not just the crowd, traveling away to fight, new training base, acclimatization etc will effect anyone, just look what happened to AJ in his US debut...AJ is the betting favorite in the rematch to regain his belts. Hopefully Wilder will be ringside

Didn't affect Ruiz when he beat Parker in New Zealand. Just goes to show AJ wants all the deck stacked in his favor. Too bad Ruiz will knock him out again anyway.

Going to the UK with their crowd is a whole different kettle of fish compared to fighting in New Zealand and he lost last time I checked.

I give Ruiz credit since he beat Joshua and he has fast combinations. I think Joshua should have learned different tactics but fought other guys and came back to Ruiz.. You have to apply the lessons and get used to winning again. He might win, I just think this makes it harder to go right to Ruiz. I hope Joshua wins. I think Wilder beats Ruiz easily.

Ruiz's away record in World Title fights is the same as AJ's unfortunately, 0-1

They knew it needed to be in Cardiff so they can give AJ as many marginal advantages as possible.

Bit of a shame because I’d have really respected it if AJ and the team took the rematch in the US.

Oh well - the bright side is a big fight is being made in the UK this year.

It seems like Ruiz will have to fight in the UK. It's not even too unfair — one fight was in the US, one fight in the UK.
He just needs to demand full VADA testing for the fight.

Is this Cardiff stadium the one where they can shut the roof above it? Middle of dec I can imagine the weather might be pretty bad over there. Cold, windy, rain maybe even snow?

And how fair was it for the other 4 title holders who AJ/Hearn forced the fight in the UK on AJ's home turf? AJ needs to prove his worth overseas rather than have all the title holders come to him.
