Funny thing is Whyte would probably sacrifice @Aydamn's life if it meant he could be exonerated from this whole thing. As if Whyte, a street-thug fighter, would give a single **** about some sycophant on an online forum.

I just can't grasp how people can stick up for this. It's crazy. How obvious can they make it that drug cheating is nothing but a good lawyer??

Exactly. My guess is Whyte was given the heads up that Rivas was "supplementing", and decided he needed too as well. What with MR being on it's last legs in terms of rep now their token pin-up boy got his head bounced around the ring in June. Whyte HAD to win that fight.

Friendly reminder that even popping dbol like smarties, Whyte still needed a MR ref to keep Rivas off him in the 12th.

If it was the other way round? Rivas would still take the fight guarantee so why dont you stfu and get of your high horse thinking

Whyte got cleared to fight and passed all VADA so take your tears to someone who cares about your whining

Still no direct question or denial of PED use in yet another choreographed interview. It's amazing that Eddie is trying to justify not telling team Rivas about the hearing. You can tell he's not even convincing himself in this once. I for one won't look at the man the same ever again.

He knows the bad news is coming and he's simply trying to justify his own conduct.

Why does Hearn keep reiterating that "Whyte paid £40k for the VADA testing" as if it has any relevance to the issue of whether he failed a test or not? Classic deflecting mechanism similar to when racists use the "I have a black friend" argument. Adds nothing to this debate and we all know that his purse would have been adjusted to account for this cost.

Secondly, the line that Hearn keeps repeating to the media is that "Whyte had a hearing for an issue flagged by UKAD". Quite simply the interviewers need to explicitly ask him whether an "issue" covers the scenario where he has posted a positive drug test for the metabolites of an anabolic steroid. Quite simple. Put the **** on the spot and don't let him keep hiding behind the "confidential issue" phrase.

If as I expect it turns out that Whyte did indeed fail a test for the metabolites of dianabol as has been reported by Hauser, Eddie will hide behind the "trace amounts" argument which can also be slaughtered by any competent journalist.

You know who I would like to get involved in this? Paul Kimmage, the Irish journalist who was on Lance Armstrong's back for years before his confession.

Good post and excellently sums up my view of boxing "journalists" as I've said many times on here. Even the way football managers get grilled post-match is like the Spanish Inquisition compared to what these PR fluffers "ask" the promoters.

I really don't understand why there aren't proper, proven independent journos neck-deep in the many dodgy boxing practices of boxing. Weight manipulation and PED's being but two of the subjects.

Well, if it was dianabol found in the test, then it does roughly equate to what was found in Miller's system, since dianabol's a serious anabolic steroid by any standards.
"Trace amounts" simply means he almost got away with it.
So, yeah, he's nowhere near as dumb as Jarrel Miller, who seemed to have no clue how to get passed in the testing.
But in terms of drug use, dianabol is pretty much all that's required to be classed as a serious case.

And, unlike nandrolone (which Fury got busted for), I think it is correct to say there's no possibility of any level of those dianabol metabolites occurring naturally.

He was frequently tested by VADA for many months leading up to fight night, so if he was on a cycle as you say He would
Also have been VADA tested at the same time but those guys never detected anything and when they do detect something they have a group of stakeholders that get emailed so there is no hiding it

So he could not have been cycling unless the VADA threshold for Dianobol metabolites is useless which is highly unlikely and you would be reaching to even suggest that
