It was Whyte's decision not to sign a contract for rematch with Joshua, which was considered an inevitable fight for April 13 on Wembley. Offer was great for DIllian in terms of money, but he felt it was very unfair (and it likely was) for him to get less than 50% of total purses in the third fight had he beaten AJ on April 13. But how that one decision changed the life for a lot of fighters and Eddie Hearn! What would have been had Whyte agreed to fight AJ on April 13: 1) Joshua would likely still hold all his belts and would be preparing for October defense against Kubrat Pulev. 2) Whyte would have had about 5 millions of dollars more on his bank account and probably wouldn't get caught using PEDs. In the best scenario for him, he would also had 3 major belts. 3) Jarrell Miller wouldn't be tested by VADA and would win some WBA interim or regular belt beating either Trevor Bryan or Manuel Charr. He wouldn't be considered a drug cheat as of now. 4) Andy Ruiz Jr. would still be counting money while buying snickers and cheesburgers and would be dreaming of getting "big" fights against somebody like Adam Kownacki. 5) Eddie Hearn wouldn't be thinking every night why the hell he offered the fight for Andy Ruiz Jr.
Hearn wasn't really serious about Wembley 13th April. If he was he would have offered Whyte a huge purse that he couldn't turn down. His priorities this year were: 1. Establish Matchroom USA 2. Give DAZN some good cards especially in the US 3. Break Joshua in America
The decision to sweep Joshua’s TUE for Test under the rug played a major part too. Also a couple of bogus decisions for Anthony in London helped a bunch with their desperate push of him. The guy would have never beat Wlad and most likely would have never even fought him without all that lab science running through him. And you think Wlad would have shied away from unifying against Deontey?? Lol Exactly. And he would have dealt with Fury in a rematch. Klitschko most likely would be at 26 or 27 title defenses right now setting up a mega fight with Usyk. Gotta love the corruption now days.
Yeah Whyte should of took it like a few fighters should of took offers from Joshua and Hearn. Its about what beating Joshua would mean for those fighters but they were too busy trying get it all up front. Joshua was still offering them career high paydays and a chance at all the belts but they wanted to grab now and got too greedy. The contracts are bound to favour the champ cash cow but it was always career high money but Whyte and Wilder wanted more up front. They should of took those fights, beaten AJ and the world would of opened right up for them.
