VADA is irrelevant because they didn't conduct the test. Let me put it this way. You're driving your car after a drink and you test positive for alcohol. How would any other separate test prior to this or after it affect your chances in court? Answer? None. Whyte's failed A Sample can only reversed if the B Sample shows as negative or an anomaly in the process is established. What VADA found in their tests is meaningless....

 

Whyte is as yet not banned because the process has not been completed. Which is the ONLY reason he was allowed to fight as the BBBoC does not sanction fighters until the process is complete. That process includes testing the A nd B sample and any subsequent appeal. As in the case of Fury and we've covered this before. Any sanction will be back-dated to the time of the offense, so in effect, if a ban is imposed in six month's time, and that ban is for a year, he will have six months left to serve, as long as he doesn't have a fight in the meantime. That would reset the clock.

Chances are this might drag on for more than a year if Whyte appeals and he would still be able to fight in that time. But let's be clear, VADA is irrelevant and if the A & B samples are both positive, he will be banned.
