No. Tank Davis is unbelievably overrated, he has fought absolutely nobody. They will milk the hype train until he fights a real live opponent.

To me it makes no sense for Loma to move back to 130. Tank will be moving up within a year, Lopez and Haney are there, who will he fight at 130 if he moves back down? IMO the better fighters will be at 135.

Broner would get outworked by Ramirez and Prograis flat out embarrasses him. Broner is nothing but a big name gate keeper at this point.

    Not sure it'll ever happen.

They both have enough "in house" fights, to make it not necessary.

At 126-135, TR have Berchelt, Herring, Stevenson, Lopez, Valdez, Warrington, Frampton to choose from. Even Ramirez if Loma ever wants a shot at a 4th title.

In the same category on the PBC side, you have Gamboa, Russell, LSC, Easter, Garcia(If he wants to go back down),Fortuna, Selby.

I feel that Loma will unify 135 and then go back down to 130 and fight Berchelt (Who hopefully by then will have unified with Herring).

He has his next 2 fights already lined up.
If it does happen, it won't for 18 months or more.

Don't see it. Broner took rounds off Mikey and Porter, so he's just a notch below them which isn't saying much given that Porter is much bigger than him and Mikey is a p4p guy. Broner also hits hard at 140, heck he hits hard at 147, he was chasing down Mikey and put Porter down. Ramirez gets hurt IMO.

Prograis is a poor man's Thurman, I think Taylor beats him handily.

If Broner and Mikey campaign at JWW, I see the top 4 as Taylor/Mikey, Prograis/Broner. I think Broner is being severely underestimated, but you look at who he lost to, Maidana (who arguably beat Floyd so its a styles thing), Porter (who is much bigger than him), Pac and Mikey (both of who are suppose to beat him) and he's really not that bad.

I would need to see him lose to a B- level guy his size to classify him as below the likes of Ramirez.

When Floyd was Tanks age he was preparing to fight Castillo for a title in his second weight class after defending his SFW title 8 times against the likes of Gennaro Hernandez, Jesus Chavez, Diego Corrales, Gregorio Vargas, and Angel Manfredy.

In what way was Floyd "protected'?

That was when Floyd was with Top Rank. He left them and controlled his career, the same way he now controls Davis career, that's when most of the cherry-picking began.

Just hear it from Floyd himself, it's about money not giving the fight fans want, he applied this for himself and for Davis. Why do you think he's trying so hard to keep him away from Loma?

We will just have to agree to disagree here. Broner is 3-2-1 in his last 6 fights that's not good. Look at who he has beaten in that stretch, no one really and look at who he lost to again very telling. Pretty much the story of his career once he moved up in weight, beats average fighters but once he's forced to step up in class can't get the job done and takes a L. He's 30 who doesn't live a healthy lifestyle out of the ring. He's not going to get better and doesn't have the desire. He's done at the top level and has been for quite awhile, he only gets these fights because of his name he's like a even poorer version of Khan in that regard and almost like a poor version of Zab later in his career who kept getting big fights he didn't deserve. BTW Maidana didn't arguably beat PBF that's ridiculous.

How hard is he trying to keep him away?

Neither he nor Bob are even mentioning the fight.

Loma is focused on unifying 135lbs, so he isn't even thinking about Tank for at least a year.

Boxers with great ring IQs can adapt. Loma does not rely on one single aspect to be the fighter he is.

Would not surprise me if this fight finally gets made long after both are not at their best. But what a miracle it would be if it gets made real soon.

Exactly, look who he’s lost to. You can only rate a fighter lower than fighters he’s lost to. So he’s lower than a prime maidana, Pac who just beat Thurman, porter who’s way bigger than him and Mikey who is p4p.

And of course Floyd arguably lost to maidana, that’s why there was a rematch. Many people had maidana winning. Points is so arbitrary sometimes, if that had swung to maidana most people would just openly accept it.
