Again this as I've said before Hearn playing in the big leagues, in the UK he has carte blanche, in the big league in America there are people with far more money and interest ie Dazn, Haymon etc Surely DAZN paying fortunes we will want this on primetime in US/Mexico

As i have said in the PED thread there is no way ever that Ruiz comes to the UK after the fiasco that is UK boxing at the moment....

Would not surprise me if Lomachenko pulls out too

    Do me a favour.

Fighters are going to (rightly) worried that this situation is going to happen again but they’re not going to refuse to come here. I assume they’d just expect assurances that if it does happen they are notified and maybe a guarantee that if a fighter has and adverse test that they’re not obliged to fight and will be compensated.

I doubt he had a clause in the contract he already signed that states if someone is under investigation for PED use in the UK then Ruiz will not have to do as he's told and come to the UK!!! But it's nice to dream!

I am just watching the Hearn interview and he is talking about 'thriller in manillas' and 'rumble in the jungles' as possible kind of venues for the rematch because Ruiz aint coming to UK as i suspected from day 1 and it seems now AJ does not want to 'right the wrong ' at the MSG ....In fact America and UK basically ruled out .....wtf

I don't know why they don't have more big fights in random iconic places that will go down in history. It's always the same generic stadiums and arenas!

Like in the past there were big fights at caesars palace and other Vegas hotels now they are all at the MGM or T mobile arena.

Ruiz won't do anything he doesn't want to except what he already is legally obliged to do!a!Also, you seemed to miss out the fact Hearn actually said Cardiff is the front runner in terms of the venue!! I wonder why you ommited that part and instead say he ruled out the UK!? Lol nice try!!!

Agreed, good post. Think all of that is likely.

Agreed. I can’t see it happening logistically as it would be a nightmare.. but AJ fighting in Nigeria is legacy defining stuff. It would be a big event for the country and if he won it would be massive. Far more interesting than just Cardiff again.

If Eddie Hearn said the rematch was on the 14th of December on the moon there would be about 100 people off this site alone that would buy a ticket

Yeah, Ruiz will probably need to steer clear of the UK now with it's massive drug problem. Best stay in America with it's proud tradition of Canelo, Miller, Mosley, Stiverne, Molina, Jones, Holyfield....

The point (obviously) is that Ruiz and his advisers would prefer it in the US as fighting in the UK would stack the deck massively in AJ’s favour. It’s not about each country’s respective drug incidents.

AJ’s team would have more control on drug testing in the UK which (if AJ is also cheating) would give him an enormous advantage.

Agreed. With China having a couple of high ranked unbeaten heavyweights I’m surprised nobody has been over there to fight.

After the rematch AJ (if he wins belts back and is allowed ) should have a cherry pick in Nigeria it would be iconic.

I like the noise Josh Taylor has been making about Edinburgh castle too. That would be unreal.

Canelo could surely fill the Azteca.
