Thanks mate I just saw it on sky sports news earlier and assumed it was ppv on its own, providing Povetkin is not totally finished he will have too much for hughie.
Perfectly acceptable undercard fight. People just moan for moaning sake. Couple more decent fights and it's a good card.
What a world we live in where 'Shades of Ali' is fighting Povetkin while his 'fighting man' and 'lineal champion' cousin is still trying to find an American opponent who is both no threat and actually known by anyone.
Just lmfao thinking back at how Povetkin was genuinely lined up to box Dave Allen on this card. I’ve lost a lot of respect for Darren Barker for seemingly approving Povetkin as an opponent and the less said about Hearn making the arrangements for the fight the better.
Hughie's come unstuck both times they've moved him up to sterner tests and while he could easily make top 10 he is moving onto boxrec's no. 5 and The Ring's no.7 straight after beating a lad out of the pub and then Sam Peter who'd been away for years. Norrad ranked 366, 13th best heavy in Canada, then Peter ranked 51, now onto lets say (officially) the 6th best heavyweight based on two independent ranking bodies? Hughie's evasive but not that clever and he does get hit a lot - and plenty of them straight down the pipe. I like the challenge he's set for himself but they've had to take 2 big steps back and now making him take one giant leap forward. I'm rooting for him but not sure this is the right call.
Could make for a very good card which I’d love to see - but not great enough for PPV. ... & why is it PPV? Because people haven’t moaned enough!
Lolz imagine boxer & trainer full of confidence wanting to be in big fights (before the defeat to Price) How dare they...
Really hope Hughie wins this fight, he deserves it. Loads of you on here love moaning about Fury but we all know damn well you still tune into his fights. He definitely not the most exciting fighter but I have enjoyed following his career and will be supporting him 100% to beat Povetkin.
