    Not when the network is putting up huge money for these fights.

    I know they do... don't u get it? I'm trying to expose the networks hypocrisy.. where they approve a nobody for 1 fighter, and then for another they don't..... Leave the matchmaking to the promoters/ and to the sanctioning bodies (mandatories, title shots etc)

    Not every fighter is the same.
    Both Alvarez and Golovkin took tuneups on their first DAZN fights.

    And leaving the matchmaking to promoters doesn't always work out. *cough*AndreBerto*cough* The networks have to have some say. otherwise overpriced mismatches will be common. See Showtimes last 2 years. It's been horrible.

    Meh, boring fight, we already know Canelo's going to win. SD has only one hope, to survive the early rounds and retain enough of an engine to wear him out late. That's a slim hope. After how crap SD looked against nobody Jack Culcay, Oscar and Canelo must have been creaming themselves to fight SD before Sergiy actually retires from old age.

    Well, even if we know it (that's not guaranteed, by the way) it doesn't mean this fight will be boring.

    You're right, the actual fight will be fun for while it lasts. SD is a bull but he's also slowed down and has shown that he has an iffy chin. He's gonna plow into Canelo and ginger will counter his head off. SD impressed me a lot when he was fighting guys like Tureano Johnson, but Jacobs and Culcay showed us his level. Canelo is gonna maul him.

    Decent fight. Dervy is a skillful and solidly built MW. Golovkin ducked him for a reason!

    Golovkin couldve have had an unbeaten top 5 ranked MW on his resume back then but he chose an unranked retired 154 pounder instead.

    Now Canelo can add another top 10 ranked MW contender to his already superior resume!! :icon_tfno::icon_popcorn:

    Also, some small factors as well:
    a). Canelo's knee;
    b). Andre Rozier will prepare Derevyanchenko for this fight and will be in his corner during it (for the last two Serg's fights he wasn't).

    Mahhh. I'm not holding out any hope. Clenelo's had a bad knee for years and it never slowed him down any.

    Well, I am surprised that Canelo is so afraid not to fight GGG now as he was running when he vacated WBC title.

    Let me guess, no Vegas = less loyal judges = no taping and unprobably unable to juice now?
