AJ shouldn't holding his tongue for no one. If he feels like saying something then he should, he has gone out there and put the work in and earned his titles. If these fighters are talking greasy about him and his achievements then he needs to put them in their place. Boggles me how he lets these slate him and he don't say jack.
No, unless his countrymen have turned against him, then it probably wouldn't matter. Not like USA is going to adopt him.
Joshua doesn’t need a gimmick to beat Ruiz. He just needs to fight smart and not try to force the knockout. I didn’t think Joshua was going to be foolish enough to try and get an early knockout on Ruiz, but his inexperience showed. I used to see Ruiz spar pretty often back around 2011-2013 at Goossen’s gym and seen him take absolutely brutal shots from Arreola and Darnell Wilson, who are both very hard punchers, but Ruiz took all of their shots and gave it back. The guys Ruiz had trouble with were guys that made him move around the ring a lot and made him walk into punches. Sakio Bika with his jab and footwork had an extremely easy time with Ruiz when they sparred.
I think it would look a bit silly given that Ruiz has just beaten him. I feel though that a 'nastier' Joshua might've done pretty well if it had gone to plan, he'd beaten Ruiz and was lining up Wilder next for example.
Well I was thinking one strategy might be to make ruiz angry and then just spoil and nullify him early with wrestling and clinching and see if the angered ruiz gets worn out
Well it didn't work for him last time, he said he would break Ruiz's jaw if he bad mouthed him, the robot got taken to the cleaners instead.
He wants to, it is in his nature. Psychologically, he appears to be in limbo because he wants to act a certain way (vicious, mean), but has to hold it in. Not a good mental state to be in.
If he calls Ruiz Jnr a greasy fat tub it does two things: 1. The same tub already beat me handily so I must be a bum. 2. Motivates same fat tub to be in shape and whup me even harder. Best to do talking in the ring.
He gotta realise that as of right now, all of that gotta take a back seat to his BOXING. He better came to the conclusion that if he don't focus on his boxing then he might as well kiss those sponsorships goodbye.
