Not as bad fight as some believe. Buddy was more durable than Joshua and he could bang. I'd expect AJ to win this by decision, though we don't have that much Baer footage to judge him properly.

Joshua by early stoppage in a complete wipeout of a fight.

How many Baer fights have you seen to make such a confident claim? Buddy was stopped twice in his career, why do you expect early KO from such a patient and composed fighter that Joshua is?

I'm not impressed by anything I've seen or read about Buddy Baer. Louis is the only fighter he's been in with who's even remotely as dangerous a puncher as Joshua. He looked awful (often clueless) against Louis and I think he would be wide open to Joshua's straight punches and combinations. Joshua is better trained, more accomplished, hits harder, and puts his punches together better. A complete mismatch imo.

But he still was stopped early only once, in his last fight against possibly the best puncher ever. I'd strongly favor Johsua in that fight, I just don't think picking early knockout is reasonable. Baer was limited but he had good chin and would fight back, Joshua is not willing to trade. I don't see early stoppage here.

None of the old giants could figt, Fury is the first to be able to move with his kind of grace and balance, he`s amazing considering his size.

He was fortunate to fight in such a weak era (and against only one of the top fighters of that era). I don't see anything in Buddy Baer that leads me to believe that he would last until the middle rounds against a fighter with Joshua's size, power, and technique. But who knows? Maybe he gets battered around the ring for 5 or 6 rounds and somehow manages to stay on his feet?

By the way, why do you consider Joshua "such a patient and composed fighter"? He jumps on people when he hurts them and goes for the stoppage (sometimes at his own peril).

He used to do that, but I think that after Wlad fight he became more composed. He was more agressive against Ruiz (probably because of Wilder's first round KO) and it didn't help him at all.

Joshua wins, let's be honest here. He can actually box as well as having size.

Sorry guys, but Joshua is winning this one.
Not every classical boxer is better than the modern, as much as we'd like it to be.

I see a lot of the same problems with Joshua as I do with Baer to be honest
