    Barnes was way past his best leaving the amateurs, so he had no hope in the pro ranks. Turned over many years too late. Little fellas age early unfortunately.

    To be fair to FG he did achieve something special as an amateur and his failings as a professional were mostly his own reluctance to drop to a more natural weight class and his own discipline

    Light Fly I guess... then he can have multiple fights for the vacant European belt with Murray, being the only 2 in Europe at the weightclass.

    The Leprechaun is out in a few weeks time, fighting Jay Harris for the IBF Inter-Continental belt. It's in Ulster so he'll have a home crowd but Harris surely has too much for him, he was impressive in June on the Joshua v Ruiz Jnr undercard.

    Paddy was 29 when he turned pro. Very late for a light- flyweight. One of the best Irish amateurs ever. Mick Conlan is a class act also. These guys talking about Mick don't know boxing. Conlan will go all the way to the top. He has barely been hit his whole professional career
