Yeah Marshall ,who beat the following whilst around the middle weight limit would be killed by Monzon. Ezzard Charles .Marshall gave him 3lbs and floored him 8 times for a stoppage in 8rds. Teddy Yarosz Babe Risko Ken Overlin Lou Brouillard Curtess Sheppard , Marshall gave him 7 lbs and took a points dec off him. Holman Williams Joey Maxim ,Lloyd gave him10lbs, dropped him twice and took an easy dec from him. Jake Lamotta Marshall beat him on points. Charley Burley, floored Burley twice and took a dec from him. Jack Chase beat Chase on points. Freddie Mills gave Mills10 lbs and stopped him in 5 rds . Marshal was a craftsman and a real banger . Stupid comments like yours just illustrate how ignorant you are on boxing. Stick to making absurd comments about Artur Grigorian being an ATG!
He did beat LaMotta just 1/4 pound over the weight and beat Burley comfortably at 160. Good point tho i reckon he was utterly suited to the since conceived 168 pound division.
Don't think it's that easy for Monzon. Marshall had the kind of tricky timing and awkward style to give him fits. And he was also a very serious puncher while Monzon's chin isnt as good as advertised, in my opinion. I can see King Carlos having a difficult time with Marshall in the early going. Maybe Marshall even knocks off enough rounds to win a decision. But I cannot go against the methodical, coolheaded monster that was a prime Monzon at 160. Late TKO for Monzon
At middleweight I like Monzon however feel the higher the weight the better for Marshall. At super middleweight which wasn't available to these guys I'd favour Marshall. People are really underestimating him, his list of wins is likely better then Monzon's. Lloyd dominated Burley and Charles (young but still)
