He's done a lot in his career and he hasn't been taken very serious on this forum. People always bring up on how he always gets beat up but it was only a prime Kovalev that stopped him. Former ring may champion. Had 3 mega fights in Canada 2 vs Diaconu and the match vs bute he mad millions. He dropped old man Hopkins twice and got a draw. He beat Dawson who was the division King. He had a very entertaining fight vs Carl Froch. Hell he didn't even look that bad vs Bivol he was out boxed but never a risk of being stopped. Only Pascal love here!!
It's kind of impressive how he's enjoyed a bit of a resurgence after retiring. For someone who looked completely shot not that long ago, he's done well for himself.
Looking not that good long ago vs a prime Kovalev? I never got how in a fight Kovalev can get praised and Pascal can get **** on at the same time. It goes to show that Kovalevs wins vs Pascal are probably his biggest wins of his career. But enough about Kovalev It's Pascal Time Baaaaaaaaaay beeeeee
I definitely appreciate Jean Pascal he was always entertaining, I loved his fight with Froch and him beating Dawson (who was hyped as the second coming at the time) is a very underrated win.
He used the move he accused Hopkins of using, to end the fight earlier tonight. That was some head butt. He should retire on top. He won't beat Browne in a rematch, and he'll get KO'd by Gvodzyk, or Beterbiev.
Why wouldn't he beat Browne in a rematch? He dropped him violently 3 ****ing times. He should be the favorite IMO. But didn't you also say Browne would beat Callum Johnson?
Kovalev x 2 B-Hop x 2 Froch Dawson Bivol Bute Alvarez Branco Diaconu x2 Browne Yunieski Boone Elbiali And he's only ever officially been down once and stopped x 2 and that was against the savage punching Krusher who was a beast with a capital B back then. Pascal is still packing certified iron and has fought a who's who of the SMW and LHW division. Put some respeck on Jean Pascal's name
Pascal won against Diaconnu with a dislocated and broken shoulder. Pascal is a warrior who works with the tools he has.
One of the first good looks I had at Pascual was the Pittman fight. I may have seen him bowl over an overmatched opponent before that but that was the first time I really got to see him. Essentially he dominated but was badly hurt in one round and didn't deal with it well. Definitely seemd like he had durability and stamina issues. From then on I kind of looked at him half glass empty. But that's unfair because overall he has had a very good career and has a shown tremendous chin.
