A UD over the guy Callum Smith obliterated? So why is Billy Joe Saunders so highly regarded when this his best win.
Maybe because Smith is huge compared to Lemieux, way more physical advantages, he really is a light heavy. BJS is more Lemieux's size, also Lemieux isn't chinny so it had UD written all over it
I’ve never rated Lemieux highly, he’s just a banger. I’d personally rate Lee and even Eubank as Saunders’ best wins. The Ryder win is now starting to look very good too. As a Saunders fan I’ll concede that that doesn’t sound great on paper. It’s more the eye test that makes me rate him so highly. He defo still needs that “elite” win but he’s tried on multiple occasions to make that happen (yes I’m aware it’s his fault the Andrade fight collapsed).
I think the Andrade fight is a genuine 50/50 - which why Saunders didn’t fancy it and moved up to gain a free title.
Mismatch, Lemieux is built wrong for 168, bar his monster punch most would be to long for him, tiny reach too. Smith smashes him up bad
The "great" Andre Dirrell has a very competitive and scrappy UD over a guy that Lemmy obliterated. It's all relative.
Saunders beat Lemieux with his eyes closed, didn’t even have to get out of 1st gear, also Saunders has wins over spike and Eubank when they were undefeated and he was also still developing at that stage. Andy Lee a good win too.
Saunders was hot and cold he looked.like crap vs Willie Monroe and he looked like **** vs Andy Lee. But he looked amazing be Lemieux. Give me that Saunders and he's great but I hadn't been impressed with him up to then
Really? One was at 160 which is N’Dams weight and one was at 168 after he had lost a number of times.
