BJS failed himself big time. Made himself very unlikeable, never seemed to be genuinely serious about boxing and in general made nobody bother with him. Frank must be fuming because he left him with no choice.

This is a new chance for Saunders, the big fights are there and now it’s all down to him. He can make some new fans, earn some good money, win world titles or he can carry on his behaviour , slowly leave the sport and nobody will give a ****. Let’s see what happens...

That’s Liam Smith and BJS who have left for better opportunities in the middleweight (154/160/168) divisions. Eddie does seem to have a significant pull in making the big fights in them divisions.

    BJS has failed himself.
When your goals in boxing is to fight Shefat Usefi for vacant trinket then you have your priorities wrong.

He's really lucky DAZN is gonna pick him up.

I think there'll be a number of clauses in that contract, I can't imagine Eddie putting up with any s**t from BJS, certainly nothing like what he was doing under Warren.

Do you not think that might have been Warren's influence?

Fighting bums for the WBO Super middleweight title is Frank's specialty.

I agree partly, but Smith did get the Canelo fight under Warren and so far he’s fought Sam Eggington under Hearn with nothing major on the horizon as far as I can see.
I think it just run it’s course with Warren.

If I was Hearn, I would immediately pull the trigger on a Saunders - C. Smith PPV and hope that Callum wins. Saunders is too unreliable and not really popular outside of a big fight.

Interested to see how Warren reacts to this. Feel it may have been a shock to him tbh.

I thought Liam Smith was going to push on and be active under Hearn?

Warren was great to Saunders and particularly Liam Smith. Funnily enough he’s probably lost them at a good time - can’t see them bringing in much money for Hearn.

Hearn is at a stage where he needs headliners. Both of which are.

I just hope this means he can get the fights his ability warrants. Would be a huge shame if he ends his career with David Lemieux as his best win.

Got himself to blame for the stop/start progress - but he’s in his prime now and needs the best fights. Would love to see him take on Canelo, GGG or Andrade at MW. Think if he signs with Hearn, they’ll line him up against Jacobs first.

I think Jacobs is going up to super middle. I think Hearn will want Saunders at middle. If he signs would he have a relatively easy fight on the Lomachenko card?

I hope he does a Hughie and just dives straight in there.

Same. I’ve been very disappointed with some of Saunders’ behaviour out of the ring, but he’s got ability and I want to see him fulfil his potential.

Ben Davison will presumably be Saunders trainer still and previously just trained Warren fighters. Could be interesting given that he’s been a bit anti-Matchroom in the past and his close ties with Fury.

Speculating now but I wouldn’t rule out Fury also being a Matchroom/DAZN fighter within a year. He could rattle through his 5 fight deal quickly and if Joshua loses, Hearn needs another big heavyweight star. Hearn has wanted Fury for years according to @Eggman. Stranger things have happened..
