His fight is getting announced today, quite hard to work out who the oppenent will be.

My gut feel is it wont be a big leap forward.

I think it'll be some fringe top 50 guy with a name. Tomas Adameck, Robert Helenius (tho he just fought so probably not), Mariusz Wach or Erkan Teper.

I think your far too optimistic unfortunately.

I think he heard most of the top 20 never mind the top 50 but he’s young so they’re not gona rush him.

I don’t think they should rush him but I don’t think they should hold him back too much either. If you’re good enough you’re good enough, age is irrelevant, look at Tyson.

I wonder if it might be someone like Lucas Browne. I'm not sure if anyone saw this, but Browne was supposed to fight Tom Little last weekend on some small time promotion, but the show got cancelled on the Thursday of fight week leaving Browne stranded (and 15,000 AUD down) in London for a few days.

Think it's probably much more likely that Browne fights Little on the Lomachenko card, but would be a credible name for Dubois and someone very beatable.

Is Joyce still the commonwealth champion?

Yep I believe so. That's a fight I would love to see.

Joyce's manager Sam Jones has always said they'd take it (with the get-out clause of if the money is right) too.

I don't believe him personally, just bravado because they know Dubois could possibly end Joyce's career with a defeat.

I would back Dubois in this matchup too. Looks the real deal. Joyce has always looked far too slow and predictable to be competitive at World level for me.

I thought this, as he said it was for a new belt.

Get Joyce to hand it in and let the stablemate fight for it. Seems logical

Joyce was saying in IFL interview in Belfast on Saturday that he gains nothing from fighting Dubois and wants to get a world title ASAP.

I would love to see it. But hard to argue that

He'd get an awful lot of credibility. If you were being pragmatic about it as his manager, it's not a fight you'd really want - but I don't really see where Joyce goes. Lots of good heavyweights would say exactly the same about him.

Don't think Dubois' next fight will be anyone decent, just a fight to tick him over, but think a great fight to move him up the rankings would be Christian Hammer or why not follow Joe Joyce and fight Bryant Jennings. If he can KO him or even look more convincing than Joyce (which shouldn't be too hard) then he boosts himself onto the fringes of the world scene.

Joyce needs an all or nothing fight every fight from now due to age. I honestly don't believe he gains too much from fighting the likes of Charr which is a name being thrown about

BT Sport on Twitter implying he's fighting for a new title. So Kabayel, or maybe a Commonwealth title fight if Joyce has vacated?
