It's a broken contract, which is actionable by definition. But of course it is best for both parties to settle out of court, which they will do.

From a legal point of view this is a very funny comment by the way, a promise regarding business between commercial partners is almost always legally enforcable.

In your opinion would you prefer Golovkin to box him again or just go all out and fight Canelo?

If nothing is in writing then its not legally binding? GB and K2 were never commercial partners , they had a deal in place through legal contracts. Is there any evidence that Canelo ever signed a deal to fight Golovkin a 3rd time?

Tricky one this. Canelo is really a superb counterpuncher, you don't want to get wild with him or he's going to clean your clock. On the other hand he's got a shitty gas tank, and there you do want to pressure him and punch a hole in it. So ... two contradictory things. In the first fight Golovkin controlled him with the jab and hurt him with the uppercut - but Canelo landed several heavy shots as well as making him miss. In the second fight I truly believe GGG did better, where he fed off Canelo's aggression and he was the guy making him miss and landing the big shots.

How bout a compromise. Golovkin could try crowd him early, wrestle him around, take away the space that makes Canelo so explosive and go to work on the body and with the uppercut. Hopefully he can let the air out of Canelo's tyres by round 6-7, and then he creates space again and tries to tee off on him.

What I don't think GGG should do is try the Kell Brook fightplan. Early on Canelo is super sharp and dangerous. In fact, after the Brook fight is when Canelo first started showing an interest in fighting Golovkin.

Do you think Golovkin is capable of pushing Canelo back and just allowed him to take the centre in the second fight or GGG can’t do much about it once Canelo takes the centre?

Totally agree the guy's opinion of himself is insane. Look at how he chucked his toys out of the pram when he didn't get FOTY. GTFOH you sneaky ginger diva.

Of course Golovkin can push him back. He allowed him to take the centre in the rematch because he wanted to be the guy countering. That's actually how Golovkin fights. He stays within that awkward range where you have to engage and forces you to do something. He watches how the opponent sets up his offense and plans his counters around that.

In the first fight Canelo caught him with some bombs because he was making GGG come to him. In the second fight GGG caught Canelo with the big shots because he made Canelo walk onto them.

The problem for Golovkin is that Canelo has a significant edge in speed over him, at least until he gets tired. So he needs to tire Canelo out as fast as he can without taking risks. I think imposing his height and his wrestling background in an inside tussle early on might be the best way. Plus, Canelo seems susceptible to the uppercut (GGG too, but let's not talk about that :p ) and Golovkin has several flavours of uppercuts. He's got a terrific little uppercut where he sort of steps to the side of the opponent and it comes almost from the side instead of the front. I think his biggest weapon vs Canelo is his stamina and he needs to make it count.

Do you think Golovkin using the exact same approach of boxing in the second fight but this time throwing a decent amount of body shots every round will be enough to beat Canelo on points? His new coach Banks wants him to be light on his feet and box so he’ll probably do that again?

I don't believe that at all. I say this as a person that thought Golovkin won both fights. I think Canelo truly believes he won both fights. I think he feels like he put Golovkin on the backfoot and muscled him in the second fight. Canelo ain't afraid of Golovkin at all. He believes he's superior to him and shouldn't have to fight him again. That's the issue.

But he knows it was his toughest most gruelling fight, it sucks that Golovkin beat him but because Canelo is golden boy he doesn’t have to give a long reigning champion that was undefeated a rematch. The draw in the first fight messed it up for Golovkin because at 1 win each there would have to be a trilogy.

Golovkin was planning to bring proper Mexican Style to the rematch, until Canelo caught him with 2 bodyshots in the second round.

Why hasn't golovkin fought BJS yet? I think it's a stylistic nightmare for him. Is GGG as Golovkin fans like to say a "coward"?

Canelo fought toe-to-toe with Golovkin in the last fight. He didn't "run". Yet he's a "coward"? SMH. Arguing over the decision I get, calling someone a coward is just the dumb being dumber.
