Might not be a bad thing, Wilder and Lennox get along and they have respect for one another. I don't think Lennox is arrogant, or no more then any other famous athlete, but I do think he can easily come across that way with his manner of speaking. Wilder does have a bit of an ego but he does seem to hit it off well with some people. It can't hurt.

That was not true & he knows it If he really did say that. McCall was a bona fide KO too. But BOTH were Lennox own fault for underestimating both of them but he made them pay in the rematches didnt he ?

He seems desperate to try to take credit for some kind of tutelage without actually wanting to train anyone. He has a worse record than the majority of posters on here in picking close fights in match ups that are seen as competitive going in and it pains me to say these things as a big fan of him the fighter. He's a h2h nightmare for anyone historically but great fighters don't necessarily make great trainers/mentors/pundits. In fact the opposite seems to be true.

I have to agree. I met him briefly in 1998 at a South Florida Golden Gloves tournament

Lennox Lewis also took David Price under his wing at some point, look how it turned out.

First of all the fact that Lennox Lewis is a smart commentator demonstrates he was one of the greatest HWs and boxers of all times...no brain damages after a lot of epic battles through the 90s and the 00s.
Then he is english and I think he wishes Joshua can retake the belts, Fury and Whyte beat Wilder, Dubois one day become champion of the world, Price improve his defensive strategy, etc.

Bs aside great perspective and question. I feel like they have gotten close.
Funny the Uk heavyweight is helping the American and not the other way around.
    Wonder why that is?
THis would make a great article in The Ring lol

Lennox seemed to be getting annoyed with him last weekend. Although that's only human. Wilder was awful of the mic that night.

Lewis does not like AJ and AJ should not like Lewis. There is a bit of resentment I sense. Lennox won the Olympic Gold medal for Canada whilst AJ won it for Britain at the London Olympics, is loved by the British public in a way Lewis never was and has made so much more money in a shorter space of time than Lewis who made a lot of money but over a longer period. They don’t have to be friends. I certainly don’t believe Lewis has AJ best interests at heart. He works for PBC as a commentator analyst and his body language with Wilder is good. He likes Wilder a fellow North American.
