Comparing Fury and Wilder is like comparing a clown and a joker. I don't care in the slightest who you think is better, neither is at the top and both fight worst competition than some contenders to protect their 0's. Neither are champions.

Wilder has 8 title defenses, 20 first round KOs, and was losing the biggest fight of his life, but turned it all around with a single punch....

Anyone who doesnt give him his just due by now probably never will...

Of course i suspect i know why so many fans refuse to give him his props. They used to say the same things about Jack Johnson.

Its sad really....how little we've progressed in the last 100 years

Actually, we've gone back in 100 years, because I'd take Jack Johnson over Windmillo Wilder ;)

Comparing Wilder to Johnson, lol SMMFH. One fought all over the world, taking on the best fighters of his generation, took every loss on the chin, was a champion and an all-time great, the other has done the complete opposite and is called Deontay Wilder.

    What success? What dominance?

    Exactly who has Wilder beaten?

    Exactly this!

    It's pathetic.

Why does everything always come down to the race card when things don't go the way people likeOakland want?

Fact is, people recognize the success and dominance of: Ali, Louis, Holmes, Foreman, Tyson, Lewis. They're (last I checked) black.

But not Wilder! :crybaby2::crybaby2::crybaby2: Must be racisssmmmm! Or ... or, could it be ... (maybe) ... that Wilder doesn't qualify to carry the spitbucket of those above mentioned six? Let Wilder show us what he's worth instead of erecting plastic gold statues to himself :deal:

Actually i believe he already has more title defenses than Foreman and close to as many as Tyson and Lewis

And not one win is even close to a top 5 win on Lewis, Foreman or Tyson's résumé

Well fair enough if you are comparing him to the likes of Holyfield or Clay....but Wilders record is every bit as good if not better than his current counterparts in Fury, and AJ.

I can see the argument in favor of AJ having faced tougher opposition, but certainly not Fury...and he seems to be the consensus #1 to you people

Ok...exactly who was Tyson's best win against? A scared light heavyweight who had to be forced into the ring in Michael Spinx? Or a faded, fresh out of retirement Larry Holmes?

Or Louis for that matter? He too had to resort to beating up light Heavies, in between the usual bum of the month club opponents he faced

Not saying this to disparage these fighters, but youre assertion that Wilders opponents are trash next to these legends is a bit disingenuous..

At least Wilder is knocking out legit HWs, not fighting guys who used to campaign at 175 for his signature wins

Tyson's best wins **** all over Wilders
    Wilder's best win is Stiverne....
    Tyson's top 5 imo are
    1. Razor Ruddock
    2. Razor Ruddock 1
    3. Andrew Golota
    4. Trevor Berbick
    5. Frank Bruno
Holmes and Spinks don't even make it. And Holmes would be Wilder's best win...
    Max Baer
    Max Schmeling
    Primo Carnera
    Billy Conn
    Jack Sharkey

That's 1 LHW, and you say that like Conn wouldn't be a top 5 Wilder win.

They are. Ortiz wouldn't make either's top 5 wins just like Lewis.
Lewis's, who you brought up not me, top 5 wins are imo
    1. Vitali Klitschko
    2. Evander Holyfield
    3. Ray Mercer
    4. Andrew Golota
    5. David Tua
I'd back all of them to KO Ortiz. All of them.
Wilder's résumé is absolutely pathetic. Not in comparison, in general.

Yes because he's KOed HWs as good as Joe Frazier, Vitali Klitschko and Max Baer...

    Fine. I'll break it down
Wilder has 2 top 10 wins. Ortiz and Stiverne, Stiverne wouldn't even be heard of if he fought 10/15 years ago and Ortiz hasn't done anything or beaten anyone other than Jennings. His status of a boogeyman is because he's Cuban. He has a half decent win over Breazeale but I'd pick Chisora to Beat Breazeale.
    So maybe not...

Fury has Chisora 2*, Wlad, Wilder and Hammer, much better than Ortiz, Molina, Stiverne, Breazeale and Spzilka.

Joshua and Whyte **** all over them. Whyte has Parker, Browne, Chisora 2* and Rivas. Joshua has Wlad, Martin, Parker, Povetkin and Whyte.

Not to mention Wilder is a good 3 years older than all of them.
