There's a lot of James Prince type talk about Mr. Haymon that's for sure. That fact he's so little is known about him even now is pretty interesting.
$10 Million for less than a minute’s work in a country he is developing business interests in! You are having a laugh. He will take exhibitions like that going forward and why not.
Haymon hides his face because of the past h0mo accusations with him and Quincy Jones and that nasty crew.
As much as I believe Hearn is a crook, they still put up better cards and you don't have to PPV for them....Spence Vs Porter PPV.....that's some BS. But yeah they are all crooks and one is not better than the other, TOP Rank and GBP included.
Yeah never really got the pro Al anti Hearn brigades point of view. Why celebrate the guy charging 75 bucks per PPV for pish like Spence v Porter and wish the guy charging 20 dollars for a months worth of fights to fail!?
10 million is a lot to most people but to a billionaire it's an absolute pittance and not worth thinking about.
Should get with the times, that's all old news. Hearn out there doing business with Mexicans, Arabs, Russians, Ukranians, Italians etc. Hearn has global ambitions, PBC seems to be settling for what they got. Well they got that Poxon connect, lol.
My criticism of Eddie/dazn is they are charging $20 a month for the sort of fights we get for free or on cable. Or mismatches like GGG vs Tootsie Rolls if there is a name. Look at the dazn schedule for the rest of the year and tell me what month is worth the fee. I wouldn’t call myself “pro Al” but I do like the free PBC fights on Fox, and the FS1 offerings I get that come with my monthly cable. Same as with the regular ESPN cards. And I don’t buy those PPVs so what do I care what they charge? I’d probably buy Wilder-Fury II but that’s about it.
I'll go with Hearn based on the fact that when his dad dies, he will own Matchroom Sports. Whilst Haymon runs PBC, isn't PBC owned by a larger company? I believe the company who bankroll UFC are interested in buying PBC. All of this means that, like Dana White, if Haymon messes up and loses his backers money, he will be replaced. Hearn has the luxury of not being replaced if he hits lean times, much like Arum and King, and can potentially rebuild.
I agree with everything you're saying apart from the racially polarising statement. Sure, most of the "discussions" on here are born from certain people's fan love for certain types of fighters, but I didn't even know Hayman's skin colour until now, I follow boxing not promoters. I do know Hearn is a dodgy little slime bucket though.
