Tricky questions will be asked of Hearn/Sky as regards to human rights, women’s rights and if he’s cashing out on Joshua in the lead up to this fight.
Can you really say stay humble when pocketing 70 mil from one of the worst human right regimes in the world or is it me
AJ has hardly spoken a word of his own on camera since 2012.....I cannot wait fr him to go full Mike Tyson
Yes, because the Mobutu regime was in no way corrupt... The Saudi regime knows if it is to keep power it will need to diversify and not totally rely on oil. But that I can put diversify and Saudi Arabia in the same sentence is hopefully a very small step to the country moving away from tyranny. The fight here does make sense in a political way.
No different than staging a fight in the US which is run by a white supremacist. People won't care. The Olympics went to China, a place which harvests human organs and nobody really gave a damn.
As someone quite outspoken about drug cheats, are you worried about the testing out in Saudi? Do they even have a commission?
Don't forget China put Muslims in detention centres and ban Ramadan. The uproar over this announcement is hilarious. People moaning about Saudi human rights but have no issue with fights being held in the US where the president is a blatant racist. A place where black people get shot and killed by the police for fun.
If you’re from Saudi Arabia, on the one hand you’re gonna be thrilled at having a heavyweight title fight but on the other...oh...haven’t got another hand cos they had it chopped off.
For their last fight they were both VADA enrolled. So I’d expect the same this time around. I doubt they will spend much time in Saudi other than fight week, a bit like Groves and Smith.
