Think about it....if you were around in 1936 and saw Louis/Schmeling 1

you never would've believed tha Louis would stop Schmeling in 1 round in the rematch

It would have sounded very far fetched and implausible. But what if AJ can pull a Louis and stop Ruiz in 1 round? How likely is it?

My guess is that if that happened, then Joshua will have stopped Ruiz in one round.

I’d be very impressed and willing to write off the first one as a fluke and not hold it over him too much

It's interesting because in order for Joshua to score a 1st round KO then he'd probably have to use the same exact tactics that got him knocked out in the first fight. That might indicate he hasn't learned anything.

I'd probably be more impressed if he scored a boring but wide UD than if he traded with Ruiz and knocked him out.

Then I'd say, "I knew it all along! Ruiz is trash!!" before trying to jump back onto the heaving bandwagon of fellow Nostradamuses.

I agree, there should be but I'm telling you now Hearn and AJ will run for the hills, they won't risk that again.

I don't see Joshua charging out the gate. He's going to try and run a jab and bank rounds but it could all go out the window at anytime. I don't think Joshua is disciplined or skilled enough to do it for 12, not against Ruiz anyway.

AJ wins the first couple rounds then gases and gets knocked out. He about to use his length but brawl cause like Whyte he’s not disciplined enough. He’s just more disciplined.

What if Ruiz whoops that ass again? Much more likely scenario. Of course, Joshua can do it. I won't be surprised if it happens. I will lose money though. Ruiz didn't just win. It was a devastating loss. Joshua displayed weakness mentally. A lot of it. It exposed a lack of internal fortitude. If Ruiz sticks to what got him there he should whip that ass a second time. Choo Choo!!! The town of Gatekeeper is up ahead for AJ.

I dont know why people say it was such a "devastating loss". It really wasnt. The only "weakness" Joshua showed, was overeagerness to finish Ruiz off and then he paid the big price and wasnt the same after that, but survived many rounds still. Probably many fighters would have folded sooner in that situation.

Wilder beating Breazeale also had more impact to Joshua than it should have had. He is just very competitive guy, who wants to be the best and knock everyone out quickly. I appreciate that very much.

But yeah, its funny how you can spin things over and over, until it suits agenda =) But luckily it works in both ways.
