According to Dan Rafael on ESPN. He and his promoter have filed a lawsuit to free him from WBSS contract after they missed hard deadlines to file purse money in escrow.

Why is he arsed about deadline? Doesn’t he wanna win Ali Trophy, unify and prove he’s the best? Poor from him.

This is prize fighting and he needs to be payed for his work. Ali Trophy looks cheap and isn’t worth anything.

Prove he is the best? Lol this isn’t some fairytale bro where boxers fight strictly for glory.

It’s all about the business and if Prograis isnt getting paid, he needs to sue and drop out of the finals.

What’s with these Lou dibella fighters ?? Very moody that fella, can’t be a coincidence.

    Prograis wants none of Taylor.

Second time the WBSS has done that, and they are keeping the fighters on the shelf too long when both fighters have been ready to go.

Very disappointed in The Rougarou, this just has the look and feel of a ***** move. I expected more out of him, hopefully he gets this out of his system and gets over it and gets his ass back in the WBSS. It will forever be a blight on him if he ducks the Taylor match and in this fashion. He needs to think about the long term ramifications this will have on his career and image, which will be far worse than a loss to Taylor would be. Not a good look at all Regis

So they weren’t gonna pay him at all? Winning this fight would have opened up bigger pay days.

To be honest I don't blame him. Read this.

    http://www.boxingtalk.com/Regis-Prograis-files-lawsuit-to-get-out-of-WBSS-

It sounds like WBSS are struggling to come up with the money and have not set a date for the fight by the date they should have. Essentially they're in breach of contract.

    Prograis isnt ducking ****.

These guys risk their lives to get PAID! As a fan dont be stupid enough to think titles, legacy, ect should supersede their check.

    The WBSS is shady.

    You're right.

Shame, as I love the concept and the tourneys overall.

Looking at the numbers involved,Taylor and Prograis would make more money if they just fought outside the WBSS. Seeing what DAZN has been paying others, the loser of such a big fight only getting $700k seems pretty low.
