Prograis pulls out of WBSS final

I think it's cash flow related. They Use the prospect of a big high profile payday to sign the boxers, then use those signatures as leverage to venues and broadcasters to get the money or pay them.

Anytime you are waiting to get the money from peter to pay Paul there's a danger of something going wrong.
The delay whilst this process takes place is the issue. Fighters are in danger of being left in limbo whilst they wait for the date to be finalised.

I hope they can make it work because their competitive fights are of more interest than most of the rubbish being served up by regular promoters. Just wish their pockets were a little deeper.

 

Sounds plausible, but on the other hand Prograis has struggled to build a significant following. Not sure why as he's a class act from what I've seen.

 

With a massive coke head at the helm of operations, its not surprising their struggling to find the funds to pay the fighters.

 

It'll be worked out.

Not the fighters fault when WBSS isn't holding up it's end of the deal. This isn't the first time they've played with people's money. The Taylor fight will be there.

 

They did that with some of the fighters in the previous rounds as well.

Yeah they did. That's why, even if I weren't a Rougarou fan, I'd be giving him the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not surprised one of the fight teams escalated it to this...If a blood-and-guts guy who needed the break like Baranchyk nearly pulls out, that's a big sign that there's cash flow issues involved.

 

I'm not even surprised. It looks like this is the last WBSS session. At least, they will be marginalized.

Regis and his team have every right to feel aggrieved by these shenanigans and have a valid excuse to walk away from the tourney if What's said is true.But he will be throwing away his world title and the chance to be a unified and ring magazine champ in the process.You have to question their motives for this imo.Either way it's another boot in the stones for us!

 

I don't understand why they don't lump the big fights all on one mega card each time.

Like, Inoue-Donaire and Prograis-Taylor should be on the same card.

This certainly saves money!!!
