houdini, perry, mohammad, you can change the name, but you can't change that you know nothing about boxing. It's obvious the teenager played with Ali. Ali tried to play it off like he was wasn't trying, but Ali was embarrassed and the teen was nice enough to back off after hitting Ali with combinations. If the teen didn't back off, the exhibition could have gone beyond embarrassing for Ali. Ali looked pudgy, and slow, and the teenager made him look even pudgier and slower. Of course anybody that knows anything about boxing could see that. That wouldn't include you.

EDIT: Ali was only a year older than Wilder is now in this exhibition with Dokes, he looks like he could be Wilder's daddy. Did Ali drink heavy, or smoke, or have a poor diet, or was he off the PEDs for this exhibition? He looks much older than 35, and he has the build of a 45 year old weekend golfer.

Pat. You are as lost as any poster on these boards. How many clean blows did Dokes land? None. And that was against a close to shot Ali.

Tell everyone again how all modern fighter are better at everything plus vs past greats. I need another good laugh! Then show all the hwts that can bob and weave as good as Joe Frazier (50 years ago) or throw 5-6 punch combinations like Loe Louis. (80 years ago). No poster knows less than you. STUDY UP!

I watched 30 seconds and saw Dokes connect cleanly 4 or 5 times.

    Grow some eyeballs, oldtimer.

How many Sonny Liston's , Joe Frazier's, George Foremans, Wilders defeated? Hell , how many Bonevea's ,Pattersons, E.Terrell, Archie Moore , Bob Fosters has he beaten? To say say Ali looked old at that stage of his career , and knowing Ali was in the beginning stages of Parkinson's says more about you and your pettiness than about him. Of course with modern sports medicines , massive rule changes for fighter safety, and much weaker competition (Not to mention steroids, and other drugs) Wilder SHOULD look better physically. You actually should be ashamed of those comments, but sure you won't be. Because in reality, in the Immortal Words of L.Holmes, Wilder couldn't carry Ali's jock strap prime vs prime.... Hell, Wilder couldn't carry Ali's Jock strap until about 76-77 TBH

Ali didn't defeat anybody that I'd pick over Wilder, Fury, Holyfield, Lewis, Tyson, and more. I made an observation about Ali's physical condition, if it bothers you too bad. I don't put any fighter on a pedestal. Ali didn't look good versus Dokes IMO. Houdini claimed that Dokes didn't hit Ali and some people were posting that Ali dominated the exhibition with Dokes. IMO, the video showed the opposite, if that offends you, put me on ignore.

Who even rates Ali as a top 10 HW anymore?

All those losses add up and you don’t get a pass because Don King paid Liston to lie down for you.

Tyson Fury has quicker feet and hands than Ali. Ali is nothing special.

So many HWs post 1980 would have ruined Ali it’s actually a waste of my time to list them all out.

I agree, Ali looked an old man in his mid to late thirties. I suspect it's linked to all the punches he took plus the fact he let himself go in between fights and never lost that softness.

We know Dokes did not try and hurt Ali,the idea that he was not landing because he couldn't is not supported by facts.
Read George Kimball ,John Eig,Thomas Hauser on this.

People are seriously putting any worth in the Dokes-Ali sparring session??

Ali was old, fat, playing to the crowd and not giving a sh1t whereas Dokes was trying his damndest. Dokes landed a few, none of which hurt Ali and Ali threw virtually nothing in return. Even this reduced version of Ali would've hurt Dokes if he opened up and would've looked like a pr1ck in doing so...fancy teeing off on a 5 fight novice! FFS it's so obvious.

Ali had hands down the quickest feet of any heavyweight, clearly the best reflexes and was in the top 5 for pure handspeed. A guy with his technique and lack of punch wouldn't have excelled to the elitist of elite levels he did without this.

Well he was 35 with Parkinsons
I don't think you know how PEDs work...

They don't make you look like a Greek god, they increase your performance. Look at Miller, he's a fat shite but has more drugs in him than an East End Crack Den

Don King was not involved in boxing in1965 the time of the 2nd Ali v Liston fight.
You're right about it being a waste of your time listing all the post 1980 heavies that would beat Ali.
