Let's talk about Nova vs Baer brawls

I don't want to talk about how Baer was worse than 4 rounds novices in this thread, so all haters please get out from this topic.

I want you to appreciate the brutality, agression and excitement of this two brawls. I would like to know if you see them enjoyable or not. Because these 2 fights are one of my favorites among HW classics.

Baer showed granite chin in these fights and he proved he had more heart than most believe here. Nova was very good fighter, tough one to beat.

Honestly?

 

Yes.

 

I find them hard to watch to be honest.

 

Why?

 

It's very poor quality if we are being totally honest.

 

There are better quality clips from this fight, but not full fights as far as I know. I can post them here if you wish.

 

I never enjoy seeing a once great fighter taking their last beating, and one of those fights is pretty gruesome.

 

I'm not talking about the clips and film footage's quality. I am talking about the fight's technical quality, it is extremely poor.

 

True, but Baer was still competitive. He even knocked down Nova in their second fight.

 

I personally love watching an old once great fighter getting handed a beating they deserve, Larry Holmes getting battered by Mike Tyson comes to mind.

 

Nova wasn't poor from technical point. He wasn't a master boxer, but for a brawler his technique id decent.
