I'll take Lopez based on Longevity.

But I'd definitely pick Yuri to beat him

Disagree from me. I think Yuri's opposition and showings over rank Lopez. He also fought in a more competitive division.

These guys are hard to rank as they have sparse resumes but great H2H and consistent.

I going to give Lopez the edge only because he looked better on film .

Do either one of these guys make your top 100?

I've never made a solid list, but my first reaction is no. There were so many more talented fighters in boxing in every division. Chang would make a top 100, but he would be lower down. The highest he'd be would be something like 70.

I'd probably lean towards Arbachakov. He fought in a classic division and was the lineal champion there. I like his wins over Kittikasem and Sasakul over anything that Lopez did. It's not straightforward though, Lopez was more dominant and consistent over the course of his career albeit against shite competition. Yuri didn't face brilliant fighters either and was routinely dragged into close fights time and time again, though I don't think he lost any of them tbf. He was an infuriating fighter to watch sometimes; his ceiling was a bit higher than that of Lopez imo but he too rarely fully utilized his full arsenal. His left hook was evil and he could really uppercut with both hands but didn't use those punches near often enough. Lopez was better at using all of his weapons on a consistent basis and maintaining the divide between himself and lesser fighters. In partial defence of Arbachakov though, he suffered frequently from injuries and his heart wasn't really in it after beating Kittikasem and scaling the mountain after such a distinguished amateur career. The fighter who beat Kittikasem I would take to beat Lopez. Equally gifted offensively and with better footwork. Any later version has a stronger chance of losing.

Pretty much agree with everyone here. It’s still hard for me to choose between the two because I feel like at times Arbachakov looked more brilliant than Lopez but had that tendency to fight on cruise control and making fights tougher than needed, while Lopez remained consistent with his performances. Lopez, despite his so-so resume, does have the longevity and number of title defenses that “looks” more impressive on paper while Arbachakov had more quality names on his resume. Arbachakov’s heart wasn’t into it later in his career and his hand injuries really did cut his career short.
Lopez, to me, should be considered as the greater fighter of the two just based on his ‘dominance’, longevity, and consistency. But they’re pretty close honestly.

Not everyone who gets fed up on this forum disappears for good. I think he will be back, having just taken a 3 month hiatus myself I understand the need to step back, I hope he returns and have a feeling he will in time. Hopefully he reads this and it happens quicker than I anticipate
