I leave it up to you to decide who these two men are respectively.

Who are they, and how would the fight turn out?

Someone like Langford, Wills, Norton or Vitali would beat a lot of weaker linear champions.

    Harry Wills Vs Marvin Hart?

I'd certainly pick Wills in that one.

    Possibly Langford.

Carnera fills the slot for the worst, and Sam absolutely murders him!

    Chagaev, I believe.

And who did John L beat? And who did Hart beat? And who did Floyd beat? The whole concept is hack.

Marvin Hart is probably the worst to hold it.

It is debatable exactly when he gained that distinction, but it would be hard to argue that he never gained it!

    What’s a Chagaev?

    A European nothing.

The history as to why Sullivan, Hart and others who are considered lineal hwt champion is very well known and understood.

Hart beat Jack Johnson, who's wildly over rated in my opinion, but not in this forum or by historians over the age of 45.

Probably 30+ guys since 2000 would beat Jimmy Braddock
