They've done the poster and everything! "Clash on the Dunes". As names go, it's not a good one.

How about; "Ding Dong in Diriyah".

This is a money grab, simple as. Ruiz has a fixed purse already agreed in the contract. Greedy Hearn and Joshua are only staging it in SA for the cash. Hearn probably trying to cash out in case Joshua gets chinned again. Coppinger saying Ruiz not happy and won’t sign off on venue unless he gets a bigger slice of the pie. Can’t blame him really. As it stands, the rematch is in doubt and could be heading to the courts.

@SambaKing1993 think you might be onto something. Joyce’s manager, Sam Jones, has just tweeted this:

Something tells me the fight won’t end up in Saudi Arabia

The man is a bit of a tool so would love to be the first to have the ‘scoop’ if he’s heard something..

Any chance Sky have seen the outrage and are the ones backing out?

Bung Ruiz a load to take the fall for the moving of venues? And save face?

Everything AJ has done has been a perfectly managed act, and the hero status is starting to derail.

Him giving the range rover to his old coach was one of the most wanky things I have ever seen. Doing it with a Full BBC camera crew a couple weeks before a PPV fight. Reasons seem genuine.

You can decide how much you believe of any publication and some deserve less than others. The Metro (yeah) state this:

"The Athletic’s Mike Coppinger reports that ‘in excess of $40m (£33.3m)’ was paid as a site fee, but the exact details of how the deal was financed are, as yet, unclear. Ruiz is set to receive just £7.5m for the rematch as his purse for a rematch was guaranteed in the contract of the first fight."

Why would Andy bother? Take it to court, let the belts be split up.

That's not what I want at all, but fighting for that percentage is madness. - as per Gymbot's post earlier.

Daym, who would have thought the biggest fight in the world would be held in the town which was the original powerbase of Wahhabism.

Sounds like a soundbite from Hearn to his favourite public schoolboy journo aka Gareth "the fop" Davies, grew legs before Big Al gave the nod. Lel.

Just seen this pic because I’m on holiday and not been keeping up with everything.

Are people still going to doubt that he uses drugs? Natural athletes don’t just drop size like this. I know the angle isn’t conducive to displaying muscles but he is way, way smaller.

And whichever is their God, thank them for allowing two mortals to batter one another for money. Praise be.

You’re a really simple soul if you think fighters shouldn’t try and maximise the amount of money they receive for having another big ******* try and beat them into unconsciousness.

The money in this is crazy. $40mil just to host it!

Then the PPV buys. Will there be ticket sales? Crazy money.
