stop crying, it’s not your money, Ruiz is getting 10% of what Joshua is getting because he’s a fat ugly Mexican with no advertising value whatsoever

Joshua puts on a thobe and they want to give him 30 mil to defend in Saudi Arabia? If l were Ruiz I’d ask for a little more than 9 mil especially if the pot is 80 million. Or do I have my facts wrong?

Contract should be honored, but what a shame today's fighters feel the A side has to make triple or quad-ripple the B side. I know Frazier for example only got 1/2 of what Ali got fight III, but not 20% or 15%. Ridiculous contract, but he signed.

    Like go to Cardiff?!?!?!?!?!?

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

There's no way Haymon sends Ruiz into any fight where he only gets 10% of the pot. Just aint gonna happen.

AJ was only claimed to be getting $25mn for the first fight with Ruiz getting around 20% of the pot. Now you all wanna believe that after getting bounced around the ring for 5 rounds and then quitting AJ "deserves" an EXTRA $45mn while Ruiz only "deserves" an extra $3mn?!?!?!?!? Stop repeating the BS MisMatchroom propaganda like it's got any turth to it.

Haymon has already proven Hearn aint gonna do F all with his contract and everything is up for renegotiation. If Ruiz takes this fight, it'll be for a big ole piece of the pie.

AJ and Hearn are at a disadvantage in this situation. They need to offer something, when Ruiz is completely fine even if the rematch doesn't take place at all.

Not exactly; comparisons were made with Lewis vs Rahman II ~

As Coppinger stated, Hearn and Joshua could file suit and seek an injunction to stop Ruiz from fighting anyone but AJ next, similar to how when Lewis exercised the rematch clause after the upset; with Rahman trying to avoid the fight, with Lewis ultimately winning in court.

Plus when you consider Pulev is pushing for his mandatory shot - possible stripping by the IBF; the unfavourable treatment that PBC have shown to the WBO ever so recently, especially relating to Ruiz; and of course the issue of Usyk being the WBO Super Champion and the WBO ordering him to fight the winner of the rematch next - things are not looking good, especially if Ruiz plays hardball.

I guess $9 million isn't enough for Ruiz

It's quite amusing actually, especially given what Minemax said in the other thread:

"And to all those who think that contracts like that are unfair. Come on, think again. Just about a year ago Andy Ruiz was thinking about stopping his boxing career. Because he had no money, no fights, he didn't know how he would pay his trainers, etc. And now he can earn 15 million dollars for two fights..."

He signed the contract and knew the score if he won. If he wins again he’s the highest paid fighter on the planet going forward.

But you can’t agree to an opportunity do half the job and then say I don’t want to do the rest unless we renegotiate the deal. Shouldn’t have signed the deal in the first place if it wasn’t enough.

Also the people who say he holds all the belts were not applying the same logic to the Wilder fight.

I’m guessing when AJ vs Wilder happens it’s a 75/25 split in favour of AJ?
