I'd be suprised if he left Warren. Warren's managed to get him a decent payday here and a title shot that he hasn't really done a lot to earn and I do like Yarde, and if Yarde were to pull off the upset, the big fights would be easy to make with Top Rank having a strong stable at LHW.

Yarde is going into the biggest night of his life with nobody in his country knowing anything about him, or even this fight really. That's why he should consider his future with Warren.

An unbeaten, exciting, looks the part power puncher in a world title fight should be an easy sell. I'm sure people will just moan that Frank isn't on Sky and that makes all the difference. I don't buy it. David Haye became a massive household name on the back of appearing on about a dozen different promotors cards and having his biggest fights at the time (Mormeck, Maccarinelli) on Setanta.

It can be done. You just need to move with the times.

Yarde is incredibly upright and easy to hit. Now that is ok against sub top 50 opposition who are only turning up to lay down and die.

But once you step up to elite level, even if you have an average level of punch resistance, that chin is getting cracked.

The uncertainty with this fight outcome, relates to Kovalevs alcohol issues and bizarre behaviour in recent weeks. The court case is also still hanging over his head. If Kovalev is going in there mentally not right and not properely prepared then there could be an upset despite the vast difference in class and experience between them.

Under Warren he became an Adidas sponsored athlete and is also reportedly earning a massive purse for this fight, some of the figures quoted on Twitter are nuts. Frank’s done ok with him. He’s delivered everything Yarde asked for except Buglioni because Buglioni shat it and turned down 150 bags.

I don't really care about how popular anyone is tbh I care about good fights being made, that's why I watch the sport. You can't take your money to the grave with you, but you can leave a legacy that will live on forever.

With Warren working closely with Arum, IF Yarde can upset Kovalev, then big fights are on offer for him and should be easy to make without any trouble.

    Some fair points

However Haye was not a huge name when he fought for his 1st world title
That period came afterwards for him
the same can still happen for Yarde...it more than likely wont but its still early days

How popular he is is something his promoter can have an impact on. Given he's a relative nobody in that sense, it could be said that Warren hasn't done a very good job with him. If you're an unbeaten British boxer going into a world title fight, it should be big news. Not hidden away in obscurity which is how this fight has felt like for a long time.

Again, not having a go, but I couldn't care less about the issue, it doesn't bother me. What I care more about is the doors it opens for Yarde should he defy the odds. Warren has delivered him a title shot without him really doing a hell of a lot to earn it.

I'm not convinced I'll believe this fight is actually happening even when the first round starts!

I'm not saying it should bother you, but in response to what Warren has done for Yarde it's a legitimate point to say that this fight has gone under the radar and Yarde is still a bit of a nobody.

He’s a nobody (in terms of profile) because he’s fought Eastern European taxi drivers and dustman. That’s very difficult to promote. Part of building a profile means being in domestic grudge matches on the way up. Unfortunately, for whatever reason (is it Tunde or Warren?) he hasn’t had that.

Even if yarde does pull this off, it only means the bum carousel will continue, this time he will just have a belt.

I doubt this guy fights another live body for years.
