If Ali doesn't stop him, he UDs him for sure. Ali's Achil's heel was counter punching. Wilder doesn't know how to counter at all. He always waits for his turn to punch and despite him being quick for a heavyweight, he would be fighting a way more athletic boxer than himself who would control the distance without any problem and completely take away his right hand with the latteral movement, he would circle away from it. Wilder was stopping the sitting ducks with his right hand, Ali would be too elusive for him, Wilder would be too robotic for Ali. Another thing is, while Wilder's right hand is an equalizer against anyone, I'm wondering if he would be able to land that right hand more than 2 or 3 times and that wouldn't be enough against the guy with an iron chin like Ali's.

Cleveland Williams looks so docile in that fight, he was hardly doing anything.

Wilder does not fight like that, Wilder is calculating, patient, focused, and aggressive on all encounters. Wilder can't be walked down like that.

No but someone with movement like Ali's could replicate what Spzilka did but Finish the job off

Stating the obvious that extra bodyweight isn't necessarily going to guarantee the win. Ali in the 60s could stay on his toes and dance for 15 rounds,he was super fit. Why are we talking about the Klits in a Wilder-Ali thread son?

Spzilka was a 6-3.5, 229 pound southpaw. It would be more likely that Spzilka would replicate what the 195 pound Karl Mildenberger did in 1966 against Ali but "Finish the job off." In Ali's time, southpaws were rare (because they were avoided) and in fact, Mildenberger was the first one to ever get a title shot. Spzilka, in 1966 would have been a giant, plus a southpaw, nobody would have fought him.

I'm fully aware he's a southpaw. He did so well because he moved his head and feet, are you telling me Ali couldn't do it better than Spzilka?
Are you honestly saying that it's more likely that Spzilka beats Ali than it is Ali beating Wilder? Really?
    Great. Good to know.
Not like it has anything to do with the conversation

You do realize that by the time ali fought he didnt even know what the concept of a south paw is.
Ali would be so totally confused when he would face a south paw. His whole style and defence wouldnt work. Even if he would prepare months prior to it we would lose by szpilka. Boxers know have 1000 of rounds with south paws from all over the world.

I just dont get you guys... why is it so hard to go with time and why are you living in the 60s. This is sport, just like science newer will almost always be better.
If you look for etarnal greatness then go on a music, art or history forum this stuff is so subjective you can have an argument on it but not sport.
You guys are like those woman who say the williams sisters could compete with top tennis players.

Extra body weight especially clean muscle mass and height are just THE deciding factor in a boxing ring, there is a reason why boxing is seperated in weight classes.
I took wlad as an example cause there are more weight stats to him then to wilder.

Ali would get wrecked most likely, Wilder is a quicker and more atheletic version of Foreman, it would not end well for Ali.

    He fought southpaws...
3 of them, so 1 less than Wilder.
He schooled and stopped the 3 of them
I think you seriously overestimate the difference that being a southpaw makes. It's a footwork issue, that's pretty much it.

your post tells a lot about you. Whether a fighter fights from a left handed or right handed stance is a big deal. If you go to a gym, you'll learn within a month or so about the difference between right handed and left handed fighters. In the gym, you can ask what race a fighter is and most people will have to think about it for a second before answering, but ask if that fighter is left handed or right handed and the answer will be immediate.

Reading posts like yours reveal the poster's REAL knowledge of boxing. Some of you can throw out names and quote what you've read in a Bert Sugar book, but when it comes to really watching and understanding boxing, all you see is 4 gloved hands. I guess when you post on a boxing board 1,000 times a month, it doesn't leave time for much real world learning?

Mildenberg was the only good one he faced.
Since you said that you re a boxer yourself you should know that a orthodox vs south paw fight doesnt only cause foot work problems but also lead hand jab and combination issues. Different punches start landing on different angles.

I mean what the hell are we even talking about, ali lost to a guy who was my size who had 7 fight including 1 draw who went on losing 17 times and 10 timea by ko.
Out of shape wilder, aj, fury and 2 klits would knock this guy out.

    Wilder by KO.

An out-boxers worst nightmare is a taller fast guy. Wilder is too long with crazy power, Ali could be hurt and wilder hits way harder than a joe Frazier or Henry Cooper.
