Yeah probably. Toney, Botha and Teper were all juicers and had terrible physiques. Jarrell Miller was 300lbs and a rampant juicer. Frankly anyone who's morbidly obese and still able to fight at a world level is highly suspect. That's just not normal.
Yeah, probably. But it's comical to accuse Ruiz when you have AJ over there at ~250 lb, <10% bodyfat.
Some people think a person on roids should be on bodybuilder levels that are out of this world. There is no "look" to roids specifically except the most extreme cases. All the fat guy sports they are juicing and the skinny cycling events as well and everywhere in between.
15 week training camp for the Joshua fight 15 WEEKS!!! He deffo had a cycle going at the start of his camp for AJ probably testosterone for quicker recovery and some halo to give his punches more power
Still people here that think being fat or not being huge and ripped couldn't possibly mean you are on roids. They think roided out guys just build up muscle sitting around or sparring. Naive. You still need to lift heavy weights to build muscle and do cardio to lose weight. It doesn't mean steroids can't help your performance in a fight if you don't do those things.
Man, that's not the case. The case is that we have 2 fighters, one is the black hulk, 2 meters of muscle arnold schwarzenneger style. The other a fatty guy who has been looking like that his whole freaking life. Who's on roids? Come on! give normal people a break! The OP should go troll another forum.
Steroids based on testosterone will build muscle and make you stronger. As it is designed to do for guys lying in hospital beds. Thyroid roids will make you lose weight. Most of these things were not invented for sports. It's for this reason most of the bodybuilding advice from so called experts aka fake naturals is trash, as they take so much they get massive no matter how shitty their programs are , and they do little for a guy in a gym.
Roids are mis-understood here. They help you burn fat and add muscle. They make you stronger but have nothing to do with speed, or skills.
I didn't see anything odd in his endurance. After the crazy 3rd round he basically took round 4 entirely off and didn't resume a big assault until round 6
Indeed; not saying he is or isn't, but blinding hand speed,... unlike strength, power, physique etc...tends to be natural. Fastest HW hand speed I've ever seen is still Tony Tubbs,--including Ali, Patterson, Tyson, Evander etc. He lacked the power and/or accuracy of those guys--as well as the conditioning...but he sure threw fast combos.
I'm not saying Ruiz is on steroids. I'm saying that being fat doesn't mean anything. He could still be on roids. James Toney was a whale and he was on roids vs Ruiz. Does this guy look like a body builder? https://www.ringtv.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Toney-Ruiz-Ed-Mulholland.jpg
