Vitali has a very minute chance of beating a weaker titlist. Other than that? Absolutely nobody.

45 year old Hopkins could probably beat Gvodzyk, and this current version of Kovalev.

No one wishes you'd be proven correct with that statement should it ever happen than me mate BUT I see a 47 year old Joe Calzaghe having slid past that point of no return about 4-5 years ago , having said that a 42 year old Joe Calzaghe would've beaten a currently 42 year old Carl Froch imo .

Fine, give Joe a few warm-ups first. But yeah, Callum or Benavidez at this point might be a bridge too far. But I do think he could still pull off a few decent wins.

They say the last thing to leave a banger is their bang (and trust me an old timer boxer who once fought Howie winstone gave me a friendly little clip in jest a few years ago pissing about at the bar and trust me in this case ican testify it's true )lol but as we all know despite early suggestions before his hands got bad Joe could bang I'd love to see just how much ring smarts Joe still possesses @ 47 .

Same, although at this point sadly I think the ship has sailed, but it would be thrilled to see Joe turn into a trainer, he had one of the best ring IQs the last 25 years, and he probably has a staggering amount of insight and knowledge he could bestow upon this generation.

It would be a waste for someone of Joe's calibre to be lost to the sport , I'd like to see him co train a few lads with say Gary Lockett or Borgey here in wales for a start , is the gym still open up in Newbridge since the sad passing of Enzo ? Now that would be a crying shame if Enzo's legacy were allowed to wane if it's not.

Its closed as of now, but I recall seeing something about Joe planning on reopening it later this year. So all hope is not lost, there is a chance his legacy will carry on.

I think some of the heavyweights could do it more than below light heavyweight. The faster pace 175 and below would be hard for a guy 45 to keep up. Heavyweight? That is where it would happen more. That is different. Those guys fight at a slower pace and an older fighter is not using his energy as much. Look how Larry Holmes and how he did ok later in his career, and how Foreman did ok when fighting smaller guys. Heavyweights. At middleweight those guys would have lost to contenders.

Why bother asking a question if all you want to do is disagree with every suggested answer made by other posters!

Hey Josey, good to see you're still kicking around ESB. Nah mate, Taylor completely lost the plot, he won't stay out for more than a few months at a time in his mental state.
