Hagler for me. He did it the hard way, cleaned out the division twice and has a 10 in a row win list that is off the charts .. One of the best in boxing imo

That's what makes this interesting for me. Dominance vs Longevity. B-Hop beating Pascal and Cloud in his late 40s is difficult to overlook. But B-Hop didn't beat Oscar/Tito the way Hagler beat Hearns. Hearns being the superior fighter and he was in his prime (compared to Tito/Oscar). Do you think it's close or not really?

Sure it could be, but not really for me, but it's subjective on what is important to different posters. I mean that is the argument for Floyd too right? , longevity .. but I'll take what Pac accomplished in boxing any day of the week and twice on Sundays compared to what Floyd did .. but that is just me

I can see a case for BHOP , no doubt … You left out the Pavlik win, that was HUGE for him

I like Pavlik. I've seen people dismiss that win by bringing up the catchweight and Pavlik's decline afterwards. But that win was HUGE, as you put it. I think Bernard's losses to Taylor hurt his legacy more than anything. That was his weight and he was beaten twice by a fighter who never really took off. Also, I may have underrated Hagler lol. Everyone has picked him so far. I think I need to watch more of Hagler.

Ya Hagler paid his dues more than any modern fighter ever has. I mean he was a quiet man, not popular, and it took the US govt and Kennedy to get involved for him to get his title shot as the story goes. And the Pavlik win was huge .. Pavlik was 34-0, Hop was the dog, and you are right that fight ruined Pavlik , the junk yard dog took him to school … lol

Hagler. He whipped every fighter he ever met (except Monroe who he destroyed in 2 rematches)

He whipped Duran, Hearns, Leonard, Sibson, Hamsho twice, Bennie Briscoe, Obel, Roldan, Mugabi, Hart, Vito, Lee, Minter, Seales, Watts, Finnegan

while Hopkins lost to the only great fighter he ever faced - Jones
