Just watched Mayweather vs Emmanuel Burton. I don't think he could have beaten Loma at 130

I think styles makes fights and technical boxers are probably what Loma prefers rather than rough guys like Salido, it allows him to play his own game.

He probably beats this Floyd and would have beaten Floyd in the Olympics and Ams too had they met.

Floyd was at his best 140, he didn't give up any size advantage there and didn't have to drain either.

Loma would give Floyd a hard time anywhere from 130-135, possibly 140 if he can carry everything with him. Its a boxing match and an IQ test in there and Floyd would more than meet his match.

I think to beat Loma you need serious firepower and aggression. Rigo is smaller but he's now slouch, Loma completely outboxed him.

Guys are really comparing Floyd well before his prime at 22 years old coming off an almost 2 year layoff to Loma at 28 and very active.. It’s impossible to measure the perfect moment in two different eras at different point in their careers.. That’s like basing Loma vs Marquez/Morales/Barrera at 130 based on his Salido performance.. Which version of each fighter would you choose to face Loma and vice versa

PBF would prefer a technical boxer as well especially a much smaller one in which he would be able to beat at his own game. You fail to realize that PBF holds a huge reach advantage in this fight which you shouldn't do since PBF's ability to control range and dictate distance is one of the biggest reasons why PBF beat your hero Pac. PBF knows how to fight tall he's not going to be outboxed by a guy with that much shorter arms than him. PBF has extremely high ring IQ and It's madness to even suggest it. You bring up Rigo well I see PBF-Loma playing out just like Loma-Rigo where the bigger man beat the much smaller man.

Loma vs that version of Mayweather who fought Corrales would be an amazing fight.

Loma beats any version of Floyd at 130 or 135.

Floyd was absolutely , positively awkward as all hell fighting southpaws. It's why his daddy put an end to it. Jesus, go back and watch the Ortiz fight....he's getting caught with little shots and is one dimensional as one can be trying to line up that shot-put right hand.

Guerrero is the first time in his career where he finally looks comfortable. Mostly by just getting on his bike and stopping to occasionally hone in a much more educated right hand.

Loma is allll bad news for the 130-135 version of himself.

Hell no Loma is too small. Why are people acting like that has no bearing here? He will get caught with straight right hands simply trying to get in range and get hurt. Loma also isn't a good inside fighter, PBF was especially at 130 and 135 he can beat Loma at more ranges here. It simply makes no sense the logic that people use here. PBF was a beast at 130 and had no real weaknesses.

At 130 he retreats back in a straight line. Has not mastered using angles. Doesnt utilize as much head movement. Is easier to hit. Lower ring IQ. It's not like he was unskilled there. It's just that at 140 he clearly and obviously has more skill and experience.

I surely didn't see him do that against Chico or Hernandez.

You're seeing things that aren't there. Floyd picked Burton off with surgical like precision and accuracy. His shot placement and speed was as good as it gets. He pounded his body like a drum.
Burton walked through everything Mayweather had with careless abandonment which is why he was able to touch him up. You wouldn't expect Loma to walk through 3-4 clean counters just to land 1 or 2 in return

Totally different style of fighters. Burton showed that Mayweather when pressed hard will go straight back instead of taking angles and using head movement.

If Mayweather goes straight back then Loma is going to take advantage of that.

If Loma comes in like did against Linares PBF would take advantage of that. What seems to be lost in all of this is that PBF was coming off a long lay off and still couldn't miss, busted him up and stopped Augustus. PBF gave Augustus a compliment saying it was his toughest fight he had to that point.

No, he wouldn't. Floyd also looked VERY poor against very average Jesus Chavez. Chico's style was just taylor-made for him. Floyd wasn't at his best at 130. He looked much better at 135 and especially at 140 lbs. Yes, he struggled agaionst Castillo in the first fight, but Castillo is million times better than Jesus Chavez.
