Ruiz has the titles, the belts and the 7th round ko.

I'm no expert on splits, but I think Joshua deserves 75-25 at least. He's bringing in the crowds. He's done the hard yards to build a brand by knocking guys out. Ruiz has no brand as of yet. The 'snickers guy' gimmick is vaguely a brand, and he's not exceedingly entertaining in the ring to be honest. Granted, he's a good boxer; but many a good boxer has failed to bring in the crowd. The whole deal with the belts is over estimated. Joshua could stick the middle finger up at the belts ala Tyson Fury style and Ruiz would be left high and dry. Ruiz needs Joshua; obviously. One good night by a little known contender out doesn't warrant 'calling the shots' against the money machine team in Hearn and AJ; that's frankly laughable. I also pitch this to any contract experts : is it possible that the rematch split is stipulated in the original contract somewhere in the rematch clause? Would be interesting - that sort of thing would preempt any funny business by guys like Ruiz et al trying to haggle when they have no leverage per se.

Joshua has a lot of fans defending him for a guy who got his ass whooped. On principle he deserves a little bit more than 9 million since he's the champion.

Hopefully Ruiz was told that he can make more if the fight generates more than predicted. Notice that Hearn only does this with Joshua. Ruiz just has to beat bus ass again. Don't bow down to their customs over there which might take you away from training and keep training.

Why are you crying over split milk? Ruiz is still making millions and the fight is happening which what we fans should be concerned with. As The Prof said boxing is a business at the end of the day.

ruiz didnt expect to win the first fight. so he signed the contract thinking their wouldn't be a rematch anyway as he would probably lose. so was happy with the payday and original terms.

He beat Joshua and is now crying over the contract he signed and agreed to.

    pathetic business from ruiz.

    He signed the contract.

He was the one who reached out to Hearn and wanted the fight and did anything to get it, including signing the contract on Hearn's terms.

It's not rocket science. It is not about fair or right or wrong. This is business. If Ruiz wins the rematch he can become Willy Wonka and hold all the golden tickets AND the keys to the Chocolate factory.
