Trying to build a schedule for Saunders is like waiting for the Titanic to reach home. He is simply too unreliable and inactive.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Hearn doesn’t really want to touch him, outside of a Smith fight - especially as Saunders will want big money for soft touches which adds little value to Matchroom.

If Eddie does sign him, I think he will want to pull the trigger on a big fight (just like with Hughie) immediately and then take things from there.

I think he could use him as a useful selling point by casting him as the villain. Basically not even attempt to reign him in, and pitch him at utter scrote levels compared to Smith. I reckon that might sell.

People in their droves are not going to be buying tickets to see a guy like Saunders win fights. But people might want to tune in to see him get chinned.

Someone like Rob Brant or Rosado first?

Jacobs or Andrade in March and then a summer showdown with Smith or GGG I’m going with.

How long do you think it will take for him to have completed 3 fights? Serious question.

    Probably 3 years!

In an ideal world though 12 months.

Is there a British boxer P4P more skilful than Billy Joe Saunders...Fury, Smith, Warrington...Charlie Edwards, Yafai...?

He’s the best imo. I keep reading the about the leisure centre talk against Akavov. It was an awful performance but the fella is proper awkward and he didn’t make Andrade look great either recently. The win against Spike was a superb boxing performance. Worth watching back that, that was better than the Lemieux performance. Monroe Junior is an awkward southpaw, that was never going to be a rip roarer but he got the win. The win against Andy Lee was very good. He made Junior shadow box for 6 rounds and did enough to win the fight in the end. The win against Ryder has aged well. I read tons of posts on here saying Lemieux was gonna knock him out. Saunders toys with him and all I read now is how Lemieux was past it, unmotivated or whatever.

These next 3 fights could eclipse all the nonsense that he’s brought on himself throughout the years and he could finish on a huge high...or they could exemplify what most people think of him. We’ll see. Personally I think the greater the threat the better he’ll be. Can’t wait.

Great post. Amazing what dislike and hate does to people's judgment and they don't even realise it. Buzzing for this move. It's the platform Billy needs and I'm certain he will flourish now working with Davison and Hearn. Hearn's wanted Saunders for a very long time.

I would predict BJS to beat Andrade and Canelo. I am completely torn between him and Smith and I keep changing my mind.

Warrington's wins over Selby and Frampton utterly eclipse anything Saunders has done.

Not talking about best wins, talking about skill levels, Tone.

    That wasn't the question though.

The question was which British P4P fighters are more skillful than BJS? I don't think any of them are. It doesn't mean that they have not achieved more.

I thought he eclipsed them on skill as well. I think boxers who are known for fantastic engines can be overlooked in terms of skill at times.

I find Saunders very overrated. Looking like he couldn't get hit against Lemieux is fine, but I have to repeat, it was only Lemieux. And he most certainly didn't look like he was winning every minute against Lee, Eubank, Akavov and Munroe, none of whom are that great.

I think Saunders will beat Smith on points turning the fight into a bore but nicking rounds with the cleaner work.

Golivkin I think is now past his best and Saunders would survive a few scares but again come through on points especially as I think hearn may try and give Saunders home advantage for this fight.

Canelo would take place in America and would need a knockout but this would never happen.

As my opening thread i think Saunders will prove himself as one of the best in the world over the next 2 years.

Canelo would be an unwinnable fight though in my opinion it would probably be a similar fury Vs wilder situation
