I think secretly Frank knows Yarde gets spanked or pulls out during the fight ‘injured’ and he’s hoping it flies under the radar. At least they make some cash
Hearing that its literally only Yarde and Tunde out there at the moment and they have been very limited on who they can and cant bring over. Dont know the full ins and outs but the Russians are worried.
It’s very Rocky v Drago..I like it. The Russians have no doubt been playing games with the invitation letters and documents needed to get the visas for the team. OG Frank will no doubt be flying in by Monday or so to put the Russkie’s under manors during fight week.
Who blames him with all them lions running around in Yarde's camp. It's commendable that he even dares to train at all. That said, I really doubt they were able to import these animals into Russia. I believe that even if they get the paperwork in order, there's a 3 week quarantine period for animals like lions, and pretty sure Russia is civilized enough (at least more as Greater Britain it seems) not to let such dangerous animals run free at a training camp. Maybe Tony can spar anyway, without the fear of getting attacked by some lion that's roaming about.
Meanwhile buatsi is fighting a blown up super middleweight next in ford who lost to yildirim. So much for all that talk about him fighting mikhalkian
To be fair to Butsi, in comparison to Yarde he's fighting murderers row at that point of his career. Both at the same timespan and number of fights, Yarde was still bumbashing at the time.
I haven't seen much of Yarde and his resume is very thin but I think the timing is right to beat Kovalev. The kid looks very sharp and appears to have good power and skills. I think he's going to hurt Kovalev to the body and get the stoppage.
I'm interested in what happens after Yarde v Kovalev if Yarde wins; he can't go back to below British level he has to fight the other champions in the division. His only escape would be to quickly move up to cruiser and start again. The other champions at 175 are just on another planet
They tried to get that guy for Yarde before, and people on here were saying what a good step up it was for him. But you know, narrative.
Warren generally took a pummelling for making the fight. I thought it was fairly ok then and I'm saying the same now as long as Buatsi fights at very least a Craig Richards next as ordered by the board.
That's fair. Richards it the fight I wanted for Yarde, so I would be very happy to see him vs Buatsi also.
