Is Robinson's Technique Poor?

  1. He'd be champ today.

  2. Fighters get better over time.

I will write exactly one post stating every point that will prove that 80% are idiots:

    1. every new generation in any sport gets better. Nutrient gets better, training methods get better, strats and technique get better

    2. almost every pro boxer states that fighters nowadays are better, because they have boxing experience unless you keyboard warrioirs. Just look up tyson, foreman and mallinagi.

    3. boxings talent pool has never been bigger then now. Its just you english speakers that dont want to accept that there are hardly any s-tier fighters that are not latinos or ee. Latinos and ees rule supreme in boxing right now its not that kindergarten competion between some Billy O‘ Riley and Jack Sugar Johnson in some ******ed american **** hole.

    4. technique has made massiv progress but thats hard to see, if you never saw a gym from inside. Fighters today throw their punches way more direct and through the middle without too much pull back. Punishment for mistakes is way more unforgiving then in the old days. You really get eyecancer from the immens amount of mistakes most guys made back then.
Footwork has also made massiv progress and is going to make even more with all those ee‘s. The times of simply dancing on your toes and getting you dic sucked for it are finally gone. It is way more important to use your feet for backsteps counter and to cover much ground with punches or to create angles.

All in all crawford would need 2 rounds max for him. He is still one of the greatest p4p

Yeah cause tyson and holyfield would be cruises today. Lewis is the one to revolutionize hw boxing with this fencing long rang 1 to max 2 punch system. To this day this is just the most efficient way to fight at hw.

stop sucking balls so hard, you will get hurt.

A mistake is a mistake, mady by amir khan or made by robinson, it doesn matter. You will never admit it, because you are parrots, repeating the same thing for years, praying for everybody to think that you know what you talk about and without a freaking clue about why you say that.

Oh man... srr si the goat.
Oh man... catillo won to floyd.
Oh man... tyson is an atg
Oh man... ali is the best hw ever.
Oh man... harry greb! dude! what a figher!!
Oh man... wilder is a bum
    Oh man...

Just repeating the same stupid things one and again and again and again... like parrots. You hear it somewhere and you just repeat because the others agreed. Unable to question anything, because you dont even know how.

Yeah, we should leave only the classic forum, so that we can talk all day long about how good was harry greb, or about john l. sullivan's toughness.

No matter we have never watched them fighting, isnt it? who cares? we all can repeat "but, dooooe, we can read it in the newspapers of the timeeee, duuuuude"

Nuthuggers forum, should be a more suitable name.

"Oh Meeeen, willie pep is the best defensive fighterrrr in the wowooooooorllddd"

come on parrots, repeat with me, one, two, threeeeee "Oh Meeeen, willie pep is the best defensive fighterrrr in the wowooooooorllddd"

The sad part of all of it is that you are parrots like I said, specially in the classic forum, a forum I never read because of that. I've tried, because I love classic boxing, but I cannot stand nuthuggers, specially blind parrots nuthuggers. They never have a flaw, they never make a mistake, pep was the defensive perfection, PERIOD. come on, stop nuthugging.

Well, if you came over to classic, you'd see most people don't think Pep is the best defensive boxer, they think he's the best out-boxer. Big difference.

You need to watch Kid Gavilan. Extremely 'modern' style, great technique, great jab, very aggressive, even popularised the bolo punch. He's more skilled than any Welter today. Hell, he was more skilled than Robinson.

    Robinson beat him. Twice.

Not true. Many think hes the best defensive fighter of all time. Not getting hit is defense and Pep was one of if not the best ever and yes he was a sensational all round boxer.
