I would not say so. He's a respected former champion and a H2H ATG who has well earned the right to pontificate.
Great fighter and a smart fighter but I don’t think he comes across as very bright and that’s shown up because he always tries to act really intelligent. On the microphone he’s worse than George Foreman was and that’s saying something.
Fornicate .... is a lot more fun though! Anyway I think that Joshua is right to reveal what he really thinks of Lewis who has been kind of sniping about Joshua quite a bit since he became champion a few years back.
There is a world of difference between loosing to Rahman, and losing to Ruiz. Whatever you think of Rahman, he was unequivocally a top contender going into the fight. He was not a late substitute, he was somebody who the champion was going to have to face eventually, whoever that happened to be at the time. I say this as somebody who has given Lewis a fair amount of stick for the loss!
In the 40s every fighter stood to attention when Jack Dempsey walked in the room. In the 60s it was like that with Joe Louis. It should be like that with Lennox Lewis in a few more years!
Lennox Lewis is the greatest British fighter of all time. He is an ATG at heavyweight, who defeated everyone he fought. Yet with all these credentials, when he opens his mouth, you just cringe at his commentary or his Haymon/PBC bias.
