Golovkin by KO, what else. Ayala's image as a fighter is preserved with him blowing out B level fighters when he was 19 years old, (that's not a put down, as we all have to start from somewhere). He never faced the "test" moment whether he was going to be more than just "potential".
You constantly bring up the serial ******. As a matter of fact, no one sees yr name w/out thinking of him. Good job soiling yr own persona.
Horrible matchup for a guy like Ayala. Cradling that left arm at his waist against this guy is a disaster. Be surprised if Tony could hang tough--that is all he can do--and make it to the 6th round with that defense.
Come back trail Ayala quite on his stool when Yori Boy Campas broke his will. Golovkin beats the shyeet out of him
I know he's a bad guy and everything but I really don't know. I don't know how good Torito was. He was ferocious, aggressive, strong had good punching power. I like his skill set. That's what I saw on film. He was a fighter. Golovkin dominated for a while he doesn't appear to handle movement too well. He didn't hurt or knockout Canelo but then again he's a shade past it now. I would have to pass on this one. Taking my emotions out of it I don't know which way this would go. If somebody asked me who the better running back is OJ Simpson or Le'Veon Bell I'm still going to tell you Simpson.
He looked like a strong fighter but rather limited. As a matter of fact I think all of the fab 4 and Benitez beat him. Duran would love to fight someone like Ayala who would be great for Duran's style. We really do not know how good Ayala was. Probably similar to Czyz maybe a little less. A guy who can win the title but then lose to a good challenger.
The size difference alone would be problematic. Ayala was JMW in an era of same day weigh ins. Now you're asking him to fight essentially the equivalent of a LHW of that era who is especially noted for his heavy hands, chin and stamina? Yeah, this won't turn out well for Ayala.
benitez was a pansy Tony would do to Wilfred what Matt Hilton & Davey Hilton did Duran would have also lost. Duran was great gut his time was up
maybe no GGG, I dont know, his career was cut short. I'd have to see more of him but Duran, and then Benitez, I give a good chance of winning
No, Duran would beat Ayala and enjoy it. Would be one of his best wins. And Duran was not bad at 154 as people think, he just needed the right style. Duran in range of anyone could beat them. He loved it. He used their momentum against them and what they did. He was a master that way, which is odd when people say I don't like him because I do if he is on the inside and within range. Beautiful skills. But when guys fought their fight on the outside or used speed and didn't let him do his magic he wasn't as successful. But losing to Leonard,Benitez and Hearns does not mean much. Same with Hearns losing to Leonard and Hagler. Ayala is not in that list and Duran would love it. I can see Duran stopping Ayala midrounds or going into the later rounds and resurrecting is career on someone with that open style and aggression. Benitez? The Wilfred who fought Roberto and Thomas were not going to lose to Ayala. He would be too quick and stop him probably late.
