Can Patterson have a chance or would Bowe quickly relieve him of his championship crown?

    Peak Bowe way too powerful.
I'm talking Bowe on the way up not the man on the way to the fridge.

As much as I respect Floyd ,I'm not confident he gets past round 2 .Bowe would start fast and clobber straight in to Patterson ,I don't see him surviving very long tbh .

Mismatch. All Bowe and the only thing Floyd could do would be to win a round or two. And that's doubtful.

It will probably go the same way as Bowe vs Hide and Patterson was even smaller.

Man, as much as I'd like to pick Patterson, he's going to be up against it with Bowe. I can't see him going the distance, even though he might well look good to start with.

I want to give the gentleman a chance here but bowe is ironically very good on the inside for a big man. There is no range where Patterson is safe. Bowe had a good jab and uppercut with long arms so he'd be a pain the ass at mid range as well. I definitely dont see patterson stopping Bowe considering his chin.

Bad matchup, the only thing Patterson could do is fight to survive. His hand speed would bother bowe but he'd get caught at some point no matter how well he boxed. Bowe by KO in 6 rounds or less.

According to the recent Boxrec Greatest of All Time list, Floyd Patterson is the fourth best heavyweight of all time.

Really? I thought you guys would be more bent out of shape with Holyfield being ranked over Usyk ... since you guys were so insistent on that the other day.

Not an issue. At HW. Usyk clearly has a better résumé at CW.
Yes. At CW. it's litterally impossible to compare them at HW given that Usyks had as many fights there as I have.

The list is the greatest of all time, not just the greatest heavyweights.

And Usyk has a lot of heavyweight fights, amateur and pro. He fought at 201 in the amateurs (same as Wilder) for five years and won the heavyweight gold medal at the Olympics and fought Super Heavyweights in the paid ranks in the WSB for another year or more.

Hell, Usyk weighed more for the Mendoza fight than Wilder did against Fury.

Whatever. I agree. The list sucks. I just thought it was funny you picked Patterson as being the reason it did, when you were so adamant about Usyk over Holyfield the other day.

The one Patterson is 4th on is the HW list.
I'm more than happy to admit Holyfield is the greater fighter overall. In fact it's by a very long distance. I'd question anyone who says otherwise. Just comparing CWs tho Usyk clearly comes out on top.
Why was this information needed? I already new. And Wilder has nothing to do with this debate.
At CW. Pfp and at HW it's obviously Holyfield.
