Foreman by far, beating most of the top talent in the 70's is a great feat by itslef, winning the heavyweight crown again during his second run when he was old in a talented era was phenomenal

Take away Foreman's comeback in the 80's that culminated with the KO of Moorer, Foreman by a thousand miles. Include it, Foreman by the distance of a solar system. Golovkin spent his prime beating up the likes of Macklin and Geale. Foreman bounced Hall of Famers around like basketballs. Whoever's fault it is, Golovkin doesn't have a KO win against anyone who'll be remembered in 10 years, let alone 40.

Between the guy who looked like a beast destroying Frazier and Norton, and the guy who looked like a beast destroying Macklin and Curtis Stevens.... dammnnnnn.... what is a tough choice....

I'll have to give it further thought and come back with my answer later.

Foreman. I like Golovkin but he’s not a great fighter.

    Agreed.

For me, he fits into the "very good" category. Jacobs and Canelo have proven that he's no great.

Golovkin will make the HOF, because it's a popularity contest, but he's not a true great.

GGG a great middle , a terror at his weight but Foreman imo s a absult legend . Smashing the man who beat THE man in two rounds for the title then regained it 20 years later !!
No question for me which is the greatest .

You cannot compare GGG who fought Canelo with Foreman fighting Ali,Frazier, Norton, Holyfield etc. Lyle. I don't think GGG can ever match Foreman.

He’s also proven that Canelo is far from great too.
