Yarde has an issue with stamina management. (Among many flaws, that tends to be the one that stands out most for me) Although after having only 12 amateur fights and a similar amount of pro fights, he's clearly not ready. Yarde will blitz out in the first round like a steam train, fail to land anything significant, gas out from round 2 onwards and Kovalev will play it safe and catch him clean when he sees the opening.

Yarde simply isn't ready, he's LEAGUES behind Kovalev. You're not born with experience, it takes time to get. And therefore we can only come to the conclusion that Kovalev wins this. It is impossible to bridge a gap of hundreds of fights experience between them, even with the best trainer in the world and all the science. My prediction: Kovalev in 3.

 

I watched the two fights Kovalev fought v Ward and I was really impressed, I`ve only seen Yarde in one fight and it was against very limited opposition, got to go with Kov he`s far more proven.

 

The odds suggest this fight isn’t a certainty but I can’t envisage yarde winning this, even with a lucky punch.

I expect kov to have KOd yarde by round 6 at the latest, I don’t believe yarde has the chin or head movement to avoid Kov for 6 rounds.

And I don’t believe yarde will land his bombs due to the jab of kov.

 

There is vast difference in skill and experience here.

If Kovalev hasn’t trained and gets into the ring drunk, then there could be an upset.

It isn’t a good fight to bet on unless you know for a fact that Kovalev has been training hard and taking this fight seriously. The incident with the woman on the plane is very concerning.

My final pick is Kovalev win via TKO in 5 rounds

 

I'm rooting for Kovalev but I think Yarde is going to pull the upset this is sink or swim for yarde. He's basically getting dropped in the middle of the ocean but Yarde has only swam in a six foot pool.

It's awesome though I was rooting for Pascal but picked Browne so hopefully Kovalev wins here

Yarde ain't conditioned like kovalev. Kovalev is going to have REAL MEAN intentions. Yarde is going to have to adjust early. Never used to someone trying to rip his head off like this.

If Kovalev actually put innhus work, trained properly for this fight, stayed sober during camp, and maintained focus on the fight -- big "if" I know -- then this fight is criminal matchmaking. Regardless of how old Kovalev is, he still has WAY more than enough to take this kids head off.

But, this is Kovalev, so I guess we find out this weekend what ges been up to.

 

Only way Yarde wins is if he knocks out Kovalev in his own backyard and I can't really see that happening. Kovalev UD I think
