Because it’s a fair fight between two evenly matched guys? One where each guy actually has a chance to win? You complain about this but not when they get matched with undefeated opponents or guys with records like 10-1 or 18-1? There should be more matches like this instead of using them as fodder to build other people’s records all the time.
Fills a space on the card. Also, maybe the promoter had promised them both a fight against better opposition; the usual prospect opponents these type of guys fight, but, for whatever reason, those fights fell through, so the promoter kept his word and gave them a fight by matching them together.
